Pakistan Govt focusing on modernising Pakistan Navy

Pakistan Navy Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Asif Sandila, called on Federal Defence Minister, Ahmad Mukhtar, in his office here on Wednesday.

He discussed the operational and professional matters of Pakistan Navy with the minister.

Ahmad Mukhtar assured the naval chief of the government’s resolve to strengthen and upgrade its armed forces.

The naval chief briefed the minister of current developments in the region and apprised him of operational preparations of the navy and expressed his resolve that the navy was well prepared to meet any internal and external challenges.

The government is focusing on modernising Pakistan Navy, which is imperative in the wake of the international war against terror and protection of Pakistan’s maritime frontier, Ahmad Mukhtar said.

dont make me laugh modernising with P 3c orion which USA navy used in 70s era if this is modernizing than we should be stupid i think if not buying german state of the art U 214 and buying chinese sub which never prooven is it is modernizing i respect chinese stuff but it dont make sense you buy F7 and expect it can kill F 22 it is just stupidity and nothing

Pakistan Military Budget - 5.7 billion USD

4 TF-100 Milgem or Type 54A
3-4 yuan class sub or any other
3 agosta b

a couple of patrol boats and 2 squadron of Jf-17. one with dedicated maritime strike capability + multirole, and the other one just for airsupriority, considering the Migs will be in town...

it would be an ideal but also very realistic for PN.

We already have one squadron for the navy, the No. 8 squadron, with Mirages. It is fine at the moment.

Modernize Pak's economy for at least 10 years with a focus on economic growth, may be that will ensure you have more to spend on arms purchase ! else if you keep harping on arms purchase and more arms purchase the economy will go down even further and there will be lesser money to spend on arms purchase !!

Well eventually its the economic growth of a country that brings how it respect and recognition from both its friends and rivals and just how much arms are stock piled in the arms depot !!! just a thought

Math is fine your point is ? When need arises , budget becomes 100 Billion , there is always a way

If US can borrow 3 Trillion dollars , I am sure we can find 100 billion from our own assets with out even borrowing
