Let's see: Where is the study of the plans, and associated costs, for the dredging and maintenance of shipping channels, given the low slope and high sediment content of the Indus basin? Even with the use of river barge trains pushed along by tugs, correct navigation along maintained channels would be a must for efficient transport.

has the pakistani govt. seen the condition of the rivers flowing downstream to kotri / karachi.
for the better part of the year, the rivers remain 'dry' as waters are 'diverted' at various barrages to feed the canals used for irrigation of crops.

what does the govt. plan to 'transport' on the rivers. there is no infrastructure like 'river-ports' and 'jetty's let alone barges to transport freight.

AFAs i am concerned, seems like another 'Scam' to fleece the people.
