Why is Pakistan so insecure about Modi? Maunmohan Singh and his cronies were a honeymoon period for them like Jimmy Carter. Remember when Regan came to power? 2 assaination attempts on modi already.

That would imply India would be in an economic mess, which obviously is not the case. He might have ideas that can help India to get even better and maybe even to solve some problems, but even if AK Antony would take over as PM now and would lead India in the coming years, we would see growth increase, simply by the fact that the global economy and more over the the finiancial sitiuation in many countries is getting better.

why would it imply India would be in an economic mess? Here in the US , at every presidential election- , economy , advancing it and the specific plans from candidates is discussed and is hugely important for the voters. If I say I like XYZ economic plan better, that does not mean we are in an economic mess.

And you then go to say anyone would make it better. Well, it is not about " better organically" , rather better because of the specifics of the plans from each candidate. I believe seeing his economic vision , listening to his economic mindset... he is going to have the best plan for optimum results.

That are 2 different things, if you are head of a state or head of a country, especially in the level of India today. We know that the US leaders have issues with him and even in Europe the officials and media are uncertain about him. When companies come to Gujrat for their own interests, they want something from him, so visiting him is a logical thing to do. When he is PM of India and has to deal with foreign countries and wrt foreign relations, he might need support from them, or simply need to be diplomatic with them and in such cases statements like this, or an aggressive reputation will backfire at him and India..

Of course they are 2 different things , but it gives us an insight into him. The past US , EU issues were not because he was rude or aggressive , it was solely because of gujarat riots. BTW being aggressive never harmed us(US) or many
countries. Showing some backbone earns respect too...

Going to 2 fake wars in Iraq and Afghanistan didn't harmed the US by multiplying it's national dept?
Showing some backbone in the Krim as Putin does now, doesn't get him much respect and might end in the result of falling growth after the economic sanctions!
Not going for war after 26/11 and proving that India is more than just a 3rd world country with nukes have got us far respect and benefits!

I prefer people that are smart and know what they say and when to say it! Germany's Merkel is not agressive and most of the time one doesn't even know what she stands for, but the whole world has huge respect for her and the power she has. When she says something, everybody knows that it's high time to re-think and that's how you lead the smart way.

Mr. Modi has clearly highlighted his views on infrastructure, national development, defence, civil law and employment, with benefits to poor and boosting India's economics and people know it. What is wrong in talking hard facts then?

Nothing, just like there is nothing wrong in attacking his possible contenders, but all this are national level matters, so why bring Pakistan on the list now? Cheap try to gain votes by showing strenght against the arch rival? Most likely and that is the wrong part.

Iraq was war of choice and we know that but Afghanistan was not a fake war and our national debt does not come before our national security. showing you have no backbone got you no respect from the world , just showed you are incapable of guaranteeing the security of your own people and ill prepared.

should a 26/11 happened in germany , you would have seen merkel's response. and nothing in Modi's words indicate him starting any false wars.
