Pakistan failed to gain global empathy in its War on Terror

It's a tragic reality that in Pakistan we let the global opinion of us go demented,The global opinion of Pakistan is harshly low and is one of the reasons when tourists come here they always say "we thought it was Afghanistan".
The global opinion is always constantly blaming the ISI and America is asking to "Do More" and even current Trump administration is seeking to pay Pakistan Quote "Incentives" to fight the war on terror in their terms.
It is also a tragic reality that in Pakistan the sacrifices of those in the War on Terror became a statistic rather than a national tragedy.

In Pakistan's history two events came very close to be identified as a National tragedy,Just to name few!!

Every Pakistani living in Islamabad or Rawalpindi was struck by terror that day,I was only 14 years old at the time and still remember the sound of the blast hearing it several kilometers away in Rawalpindi.
Growing up ,I was in the vicinity of 5 major terror attacks in the heart of Rawalpindi, 2 of which i was lucky enough to be less than a kilometer away.

Another event that came close to be "Identified" and has been remembered as a national tragedy was the 2014 APS attack ,The sacrifices of little ones and brave people of KPK saw the onslaught by Government and Pakistan army that scaled down terror attacks in the country from Days,weeks to now months.

All Pakistanis agree that we need to do something about the "Global perspective" of Pakistan.
I for once see Pakistan's conduct in the war on terror highly erratic and heedless as 2014 APS attack was evident to it that it took sacrifices of little kids to finally be united as one and take the fight to the enemy.
We need the world to remember before they blame the ISI or military establishment is that we lost 70 thousand people and 118 billion dollars with our economy in absolute ruins and everything was almost lost in the war on terror.

The fact that General Raheel was invited to Davos as a counter terrorism expert, it kind of proves that the world is beginning to acknowledge the strides Pakistan has made in combating terrorism. The military establishment is to be blamed as well because just look at what kiyani did.
The American COAS at the time tried his best of having "Personal Relations" with kiyani to resolve the issues ,But the same American COAS (Mike mullen) ended up blaming Pakistan for having links with the Haqqani network.
In the last decade both government and Military establishment has failed to say it clearly to the U.S.
Stop asking us to do more,This do more predicament has today been changed to "Incentives" like giving a kid candies,That's how U.S thinks of Pakistan
Our governments can't say clearly enough Stop asking us to go after the groups that don't target us.
Rather our governments and military establishment let the global opinion of us go dwindling to completely against,many people in the Western world think of Pakistan as a Rouge failed state that supports the taliban :-/
India clearly supports TTP and BLA ,even musharraf claims to have given full evidence of it to the Afghan government,yet our governments have been erratic in the anti-terror campaign and that has turned global opinions against Pakistan and badly damaged the countries image.
The osama bin laden episode was also another mess,Its more likely that the Army always knew he was hiding there and as edward snowden claimed that he was caught in 2007 by the ISI.
This is also further supported by the fact that the Serving colonel took asylum in the U.S who aided the americans in intelligence w.r.t OBL's whereabouts.

All those strides are over run by an amateur India media campaign and drama of fake surgical strikes...our strides are very weak and there is no co-ordination between government, foreign diplomats, media and international PR..

The West has always selectively focused on tragedies when it suits their purposes - they will gladly give their sympathy to Pakistanis as well, but only if they can use it to justify something like their drone murder program, or push a certain narrative. A good example is the coverage of Malala vs that of Nabila.

But Western lives always matter more than others - 17 westerners have more value in the 'international' media than 2000 Nigerians.

This is not a failure on part of Pakistan - any direct attempts to gain sympathy would be dismissed as 'Pakistan trying to get more aid', or some other nonsense cooked up by the countless corporate think-tanks and propaganda systems in place to propagate the narrative.

Let our sacrifices speak for themselves. No point trying to appease the Western Establishment Media. They have their own agenda.

The world felt that Pakistan acted against those terrorist groups that were against Pakistan, but gave free hand to those terror groups that were against US, India, Afghanistan or others such as LeT, Haqanis, Afghan Taliban, AQ and ISIS. So Pakistan war against terror was specific against TTP, and hence it benefited none apart from Pakistan.
