POST does not make sense

BUT you are correct with 250 mki in service aroun d 50% of IAF fire power is vested in this beast

su-30-mki-plane-battle-the-indian-air-force-flight.jpg
And then the so called beast has some 40% of it's teeth missing and so far has savagely hunted a .....errr balloon.

THATS ALL GOOD but USA has dropped you as an ally IN FAVOUR OF INDIA making those F16 at best short of spares AND worse sanction prone and grounded to 30% availability AS PER KARGILlevel of operational F16 as per the then ACM book re PAF IN KARGIL and why they never turned to support NLI

True beauty .. Will be sorely missed.
Indeed very very potent; simplicity was its beauty; similar to Hunters. The airframes are due; unless HAL decides to resurrect its licenced production - that wont happen;

If anyone has been in either Mig-21Bis or G version; it is a potent point defence design. Credit that it is still flying and will be there for next 10-20years.

@Irfan Baloch @The Eagle @waz @Jungibaaz Usless off topic butt hurt, derailing a very good thread.

PAF is outnumbered

They would be better replacing their 100 F7 with 50 Thunders mark 3 .

PILOTS LIVES are precious sendinmg highly expensive trained pilots to cetain death scenario is not a good way to fight a short war.

For the RECORD an IAF flanker will pick up and 10 F7 in one go from 100km and engage 4 simultaneously in one round of BVRs

IT WOULD BE A CAKE WALK.........

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY every time with less lives of highly skilled Pakistani pilots at risk
we dont care about our highly trained pilots, unfortunately.

replacement on, 1 on 1 basis, is more suitable.

Same can be said about IAF or any other AF. PAF flying F-7 means the aircraft is still very potent.

IAF Flanker will itself get picked up before it does any damage. There are eyes in the sky as well as on the ground. It will be a pity to see a Flanker rolling up in a fireball by a missile fired by a F-7.

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY every time with less lives of highly skilled Pakistani pilots at risk
F-7 in PAF has seen a superior safety record than its cousin Mig-21 in IAF, so quality and lives of highly skilled pilots has seen a better outcome in PAF.

damn those j-7 are in immaculate condition. when were they built?

Those ones are brand new the production for line for these planes is still active the posted image for recently aquired F-7 by Bangladesh and yes I agree the planes looked in top shape

. .
If PAF want to use PGs till 2025 then HOBs and HMD Should be added to them, which will make them lethal point defense bird against any IAF bird, PL-10 and A-Darter are available but if PAF can add something like ASRAAM (50km) IR guided missile and dual rack on outer wing station allowing 6 AAMs, which will add big punch to this bird.

These are F-7s:

And dual racks like below could be added by PAC:

Now if one look at F-7 pic it have space if hard points are placed carefully.

Other than HMS type of upgrades for better wvr it can be installed with a targeting pod for having much better a2g capability. Mig21-Lancer variation for example was upgraded for such capability. These types of planes are used in numbers around but without a2a upgrades makes them less competent against more modern planes or without precision a2g capability they become easy targets for manpads or aa guns as was seen in Syria. But with upgrades mentioned like HMS for a2a or targeting pod for a2g they would become a completely different beast and yes with numbers on your side.

I believe that Non Rose Mirages will go before PGs.
yup but even than 1 remaining F7s, 3 non ROSE will go very soon followed by PGS and than the ROSE squardons
currently of 19 sq
we have
4 f16s
4 jf-17s
3 ROSE
3 NON ROSE
1 F7
3 F7PG
1 OCU K 8

corrections welcomed

i think by end of this year we will have 5 or 6 thunders replacing all f-7s
this will be followed by non rose which should be done in next 2-3 years and than PGs which should complete in 5 years assuming we will get no f16s
from 2023-25 on wards pakistan will replace the last 2-3 sq of ROSE.
i think PAF aim was to get atleast 2 more squadrons of f-16s

with IAF increasing its strength from 30 to 42 sq and IN flexing it muscles i doubt 18/19 sq are enough
