I think our country should forget about giving billions of dollars of military aid to Pakistan. Pakistan will be taken over by the Taliban, Al Qaeda or other Islamic extremists. It's time for us to go into Pakistan and snatch the nuclear weapons they possess.:usflag:

I sincerely hope that you're just being ignorant or sarcastic. :disagree:
I too think, and I speak for millions who think alike, that we Pakistanis should reject US military aid and give you the middle finger!
We should stop sharing intelligence and let you deal with your own homeland security which actually sucks! If it wasn't for us, you would have been attacked by AQ a la 9/11 atleast two times more...but no, we helped you avoid it. You're welcome!

You thrived Taliban's into our terrirtory by carpet bombing Tora Bora without securing the Pak-Afghan border in Khyber, Bajaur and Waziristan...yet you have the guts to blame us for your failures! Thank you!

This forum is anti American.....

Whats anti American about this forum? So far we've been most tollerant to non Pakistani members regardless their nationality. I guess just like your governement you're not used to accept reality or take critic....bomb whatever comes in you way and abuse your super power status to make or break weaker countries.

You want do a reality check, start digging into post WW II history of Middle East and your dealings with Israel and Arabs...your failures and blunders of ME policy which actually gave birth to militancy against US!
Yes, USA is responsible for most of the shyt we're dealing with today.
Thank you! :usflag:

We have several American members who would disagree with the above statement. The fact that you have not been banned is proof of how liberal we all are!

But some of the statements you have made do not help your cause. If you were an ambassador for your country, you failed miserably.

:pakistan: :usflag:

Crap!

Now I can't ban him? :hitwall:

Its the first time Jayson has spoken against Pakistan or this forum, lets give him another chance. I would like to know if he meant what he said and where it came from. :coffee:

Americans have all business to feel scared. For one they dont know what will be coming at them next. The last time it was Boeing 747, with people, the next time who knows what?
Personally, I think this report is farcical. Pakistan doesnt have that kind of money, the country is in shambles, 1 million have been displaced, Pakistan is knocking all possible doors for aid, investing in a N-warheads is outrageous..

And if this report were true, then the Americans will tighten the screws of Pakistan even more. Developing more N-weapons is a complete suicide..I am sure Pakistani leaders are more intellegent than what the report otherwise suggests.

That's nobody damn business but ours, understand!

Other nations have hundreds and hundreds of nuclear weapons and yet have no national security justification to possess them, no question is asked and no alarm is raised about them. When Pakistan decides to enhance it's national security and sovereignty alarm is raised, when this nation seeks to strengthen it's power.

Fear this Nation for it's Might and Power!

Considering that terrorists used US infrastructure and US airplanes to carry out that attack, the concerns should be whether terrorists can access WMD resources in the West.

There remains little to no evidence that Pakistan's command and control infrastructure will be compromised, or that the Taliban have any hope of taking over the country.

Major expenditure would occur with the construction of new infrastructure, not with producing more enriched fuel through existing facilities. The article argues that both is occurring, with Plutonium production set to increase with the Khusab reactor complex that is nearing completion.

So on the issue of infrastructure, resource crunch or not, the major projects seem to be continuing apace for now, and this fact has been known for quite a few years now.

I disagree that it would be 'suicide' - the US is trying to extract concessions on so many avenues in its bid to succeed in Afghanistan that they simply do not have any more leverage elsewhere, and had it been able to, progress at the Khushab complex would have stopped long ago.

It's none of your business, if you don't want us to have Nukes do something about it, mobilize your forces....

Nuclear weapons is our Full Right, it is our God Given Right, we are the sole possessor of this power of the Muslim World and it is our God given responsibility to have them.

Aid. Pakistan is in crisis. No aid means disaster. It also translates into stopping military action in swat by PA since Pakistan would have no money to sustaing a war, and battle the humanitarian crisis.

In either case, Pakistan has to pay dearly. So its not wise to produce N-weapons at all..

What are US concerns and goals in the region?

If one is to assume that they want to stabilize the region (Afghanistan and Pakistan) so that the territory cannot be used as a safe haven by terrorists, then halting the Swat and FATA operations hurts the US goal just as much.

It completely isolates the GoP, Military and Pakistani populace from the US, and in fact spurs production of WMD's and delivery systems since the Pakistani establishment's suspicions about US plans and strategy in the region become firmer. It also cuts off whatever ties the US Mil. has been building with the Pak Mil. (something both Mulen and Petraeus have emphasized as critical towards establishing more trust and transparency between the two sides, leading into more cooperation).

In addition, the AID has already been linked to conditions such as greater military action against the Taliban, greater PA resources reoriented to the Western theater, expanded COIN training, working on normalization with India, access to AQ Khan.

There are already way too many conditions attached to that aid that Pakistan is strongly fighting, let alone add another condition over something as sensitive as rolling back the nuclear program.

As I said, these concerns over Pakistan's program are not new, and progress on the Khushab complex has been noted for years now - without any stoppage and is now nearing completion.

Given US goals in the region (assuming the stated ones can be taken at face value) cutting off aid at the expense of ending cooperation against the Taliban hurts US regional efforts significantly, and will do nothing to slow down the nuclear program, and in fact reduce what little cooperation and information sharing on the program (to alleviate US concerns) is currently taking place.
