Holly Molly... 37 billion to 70 billion for a design change!!
That must be registered in Guinness book of world record.
70 billion cost for all the above expenses is worse or 140 billion annual subsidy? Noothi government accepted in the SC that orange line metro's initial cost and benefit analysis and feasibility study shows that it will require 140 billion annual subsidy from tax payer's money to run. This was the estimate before the train started its operation. People won't pay more than the ticket price set by the government and they will prefer using some other form of transport if ticket price is increased to reduce the subsidy, and bring it into profit making operation. The subsidy may increase depending on the people's preferences.Yupe 7.5 billion for buses + 2.4 billion for taxes & duties of these buses
8.5 billion for commercial Plaza
Fleet scrapping Rs1 billion
utilities relocation Rs1.5 billion
land cost Rs1.5 billion and additional Rs11 billion will be spent on improvement roads along BRT route
And 30 billion is charged for the construction of route 27 KM long BRT
And 2 billion bill for redesigning the BRT route
Cost 68-70 billion

This is not a car showroom but fleet of 250 new brand Corolla cars to be used by Sharjeel Inam Memon of #PPP. This is how PPP's ministers minted money from national exchequer in last 10 years. He's not the person, there are scores of these thugs who have looted public money.

One project eating up 140 billion per annum of Pakistani tax payers' money... just to satisfy the ego of shobaz that Lahore has metro train.
In shaa Allah, PTI government will scrap this loss making project and bring all those who brought its ideas on the table and then approved it despite knowing that it will incur so many losses every year according to the initial estimates (that too generous) about the number of passengers choosing to travel at the current ticket prices.

They deny truth,
President Mamnoon Hussain administering oath to two additional caretaker ministers.
Retired Lt General Khalid Naeem Lodhi and Mian Misbahur Rehman took oath in the ceremony held in Islamabad.
Naeem Lodhi is a former defence secretary whereas Rehman is a well-known figure among trade circles.
Caretaker Prime Minister Nasirul Mulk, members of the federal cabinet and other senior officials attended the ceremony.
Earlier this month, a six-member caretaker federal cabinet was sworn in. The caretaker cabinet includes the State Bank of Pakistan's former governor Dr Shamshad Akhtar, Roshan Khurshid, Barrister Ali Zafar, former ambassador to the United Nations Abdullah Hussain Haroon, Azam Khan and Muhammad Yusuf Shaikh.
