Pakistan elected for UN temporary seat

Dont be that overenthusiastic, Pakistan also has helped India in past getting elected a non-permanent member of UNSC.
Its like you scratch my back and I scratch yours.

India got more than 2/3rd majority - with or without Pakistan it was okey for India which bagged a RECORD 189 votes.
But the situation for Pakistan was between sink and swim - where India's CRUCIAL vote did it all for Pakistan.

.
LOL... begging ??? We already are a non-permanent member since 2010

I know that you have been selected several times on this seat. But if you want one more even after already having one then ask nicely . :)

You are such an ignorant.... I wonder if you know a lobby system in UN? One thing more if you want me to argue for sake of trolling then certainly I am on my feet and if not then please do read my previous post where I said ' 129 means a massive diplomatic failure'

Whats wrong with this post? Where did I entice you to come up flag waving? I was immaculately right, Pakistan has supported India in past (regardless of the importance of the vote)

Over again you proved yourself totally out of the context.... Didn't you get a chance to read the post which lead me to arise with the post you are referring to..

Dont burst their bubble yaar. They are considering this to be a milestone...let them. Why rubbing salt on wounds by reminding them India's votes. This is a much needed news for them and let them chill out .:D

No my brother we aren't considering it a milestone.... Its not like we have been elected for the first time, we have served 6 times before like India. Now equation is 7:7, India and Pakistan. Chill

Congratulations Pakistan...
And Thank You India!!!

4 pages.. and first sensible guy!!! that's what anyone in the world expects... If we helped u in getting membership, that's the only thing we expect!!! neither are we expecting ur part of Kashmir nor will u ever give it!!!!:P

btw lets hope that India and Pakistan cooperate much more beyond this... and the relations do improve dramatically...

UN Security Council: Pakistan barely wins non-permanent member seat

WASHINGTON: Winning the bare minimum required to win the hotly contested elections, Pakistan won a seat as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for a two-year term.

Securing 129 out of 193 votes in the United Nations General Assembly, exactly the two-third majority required to win the seat, Pakistan will now be a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council in a term that begins on January 2012 and will end in December 2013. The seat is on the Asia-Pacific and Africa group, where Pakistan will join India amongst other countries as non-permanent members. Morocco was also elected as a member of the non-permanent seats in the UNSC. Pakistan’s sole competition was expected to be with Kyrgyzstan, which was also hopeful of winning the Asia-Pacific seat. According to reports, Pakistan had secured support from India, China and the UAE amongst other countries to help Pakistan win the election.

I like this part and i am glad India voted in favor of pakistan...

Good move by India i must say and a crucial vote for pakistan cause they just managed it at 129 and i think 128 was needed.

Every vote counts. ;) We just realize it when someone win by close margin!

It was already done. You were needed to take a chill pill which you didn't.:)

I was not quoting you at the first place! It was you who needed to take a chill pill instead of unnecessary quoting me and ranting all over :)
