Pakistan edge out India in Champions Trophy thriller

Those who are criticizing Indian media have a point. Did Indian media criticize in the same manner their own players for such conduct? Obviously no.

Of course they did.. Kohli was nearly ostracized for that behaviour.. And don try to compare.. Last time in Chennai , 1999, Chennai crowd gave Pakistani team a standing ovation for winning a thriller.. That test match still hurts Sachin...

If the players had behaved properly, this team would have got standing ovation as well..

And Indian crowd nearly burnt Eden Gardens too back in Kolkata in 1999 when Pakistan won the test. In my opinion, Indians should be the last to talk about sportsman spirit. There are far too many incidents from your side.

We Won! :yahoo::dance3::victory1: :pakistan:Congrats to all Pakistan. :victory::pakistan::chilli:

Also well played India. :-)

Dear, its a national game please don't bring politics in it to spoil the celebration.

Off course this is time to celebrate but don't forget MQM's role to helping our national game while government refused to release funds for this champions trophy ...........

Shame on PM Nawaz Sharif and his govt, hockey is Pakistan's national game! They have got the priorities terribly messed up! He should cut down on some of his own foreign trips.

When our team comes back to Pakistan, irrespective if they win final or not, they should get standing ovation (respect and acknowledgment) from Pakistanis for making all the way to final! <3

Same thoughts and image what they would be if they have no financial stress or tensions. Wish they bring Trophy also at home.

What hate? I have heard that during today's Bharati crowd was booing during our national anthem and our chanting anti Pakistan slogans during the whole match. Hatred? You guys are born with it. You don't even need any reason for it. I just hope we start responding with equal hatred and stop believing in the the cr@p of good neighbors and aman k asha in which we senselessly believe in.

I saw the match from starting and there was nothing of that sort... Perhaps that was the creation of Pak media, I don know..
But there is a difference between a spectators and a sportsmens.. Sportsmens are expected to keep their cool.. There are hostile crowds everyone...
That doesnt mean one should take the bat and try killing like Afridi..

Its not me but people who have watched the match and that includes people who are normally not very hostile towards India. May be you muted your TV when you countrymen were disrespecting our national anthem. Hostile crowds are everywhere. Yes. But Indians are the ones who even throw bottles and nearly burn down stadiums. This doesn't happen everywhere.

I loved their celebration. These Indians are closet racists and have very disgusting opinions of Pakistanis. What they tell to your face is a lie. I would have celebrated with more taunts at the crowd, they deserve it.

Comparing one incident dating back to 1996... Do you have any more historical references to temme:/ ?

Do sports man spirit asks the person not to celebrate?
Celebrating victory is not ethically wrong neither it is against the game laws. You see similar things
in football every week (though a yellow card offense, it is not deemed immoral :) )
Heck, even in the game of lords, the gentelmen game, cricket, we have seen similar things.
remember this:

I am not denying that the Pakistani team celebrations were a bit over reacting but do not forget that the game was over and unlike pushing ans shoving during the game and starting a fight, the images are from POST VICTOR CELEBRATIONS.
Also while admitting the team to be a bit extra excited, what can you say about the Indian crowd? when the crowd tease and abuse the team for whole of the game, it is certain that if the opposition wins they surely will get back to the crowd and taunt them.

Isn't it your history? By the way the incident that I was talking about happened in 1999. Even someone like Wasim Akram was forced to say that Eden Gardens doesn't deserve to be a Cricket venue.
