Pakistan is number one team of the world, only the pitches of WC are tailor made for Yindoos...
Hence I dont know why to blame PCB..

Problem is in domestic cricket and PCB board administration not players, they were not using kookaburra or international standard CA / HS balls, hence when players come to international standards, since they are not used to international cricket balls, it made them alot of problems. They cannot play properly. This program sufficiently hits out at the PCB board and sections committee at regional level. We have only one world class Cricket Academy in Lahore, LCCA, and Peshawar, Islamabad, Quetta and Karachi Cricket Academies are shut.

Infact I like the Indian Academy and Club system which goes to the grassroots up through to First class levels and IPL, leagues.

Again problem is structure not cricket players. There are lot of great Pakistani players playing in England, London Leagues, NCL UK, NCL : National Cricket League or Essex League, Kent League Cricket but PCB never looks at them , y?

Need a scouting network with qualified scouts who will not accept a bribe. Coupled with merit based selection in domestic teams.

No more of Umar Amin paying for a days worth of full tosses in FC cricket.

It is the Pakistan Cricket Board which needs to sort out the chronic problem of finding the right structure of domestic cricket so that more players come through to play competitive cricket.

They also need to streamline its well-equipped cricket academy in Lahore.

Engage former Test players from Pakistan to come to the academies, teach youngsters and remove flaws in their batting and bowling. Players can't be taught once they get picked for the national team, but our problem is that we expect them to overcome their deficiencies once they wear national blazers.

"New ODI captain and selection committee will be announced in 3-4 days" : Shahryar Khan

" New ODI captain and selection committee will be announced in next three to four days. "

" We don't have any obvious choice for next ODI captain, we may appoint someone for the time being, with a young vice captain "

I have feeling they will pick Hafeez. But why couldn't they do this before the world cup? Useless planning.

Shahid Afridi taken apart on his bad performance in WC @13 mins ahead:

Why there is no accountability for Pakistan Coaches/Management for poor performance?

Why there is no accountability for Pakistan Coaches/Management for poor performance?

You can't keep changing coaches every few months. This creates more problems.

It is not Waqars or anyones fault when someone like Umar Akmal can make 25 runs then throw away his wicket for 2 years. Afridi spending 17 years giving sub standard kenya like performances.

It is time to put faith in coaching and let them separate the men from the boys. The issue is the players, they need changing. The coaches and mgt are the best Pakistan have.

Former captain and legendary all-rounder Imran Khan expressed shock over Pakistan's defeat to Bangladesh, terming the 3-0 whitewash 'unimaginable'.

Bangladesh thrashed a woeful Pakistan by eight wickets in Dhaka on Wednesday to sweep the one-day series and leave many fans in disbelief.

Imran blamed "nepotism" in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and a mismanaged domestic structure for Pakistan's slump, termed by many former players as the "lowest point" in the country's cricket history.

Pakistan slipped to eight position in the International Cricket Council rankings after the loss on Wednesday, and stand just above Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

The 62-year-old Imran, who led Pakistan to their only World Cup triumph in 1992, said the rot needed to be addressed at the management level first and foremost before an overhaul came.

"Pakistan's cricket will not improve as long as there are people in the cricket board who have come through nepotism and without any merit. Sadly the people in our cricket board don't have any knowledge of cricket," Imran, who keeps an eye on cricket despite leading the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf party, said in an interview on the sidelines of the by-elections in Karachi.

"I never thought Pakistan would lose to Bangladesh 3-0 and drop to number eight in the ODI rankings."

Imran revealed that even the great Vivian Richards of the West Indies had identified Pakistan as the "most talented" cricketing nation but a poor system meant the team never realised its true potential.

"Based on my 21-year experience of playing cricket I know that no country in the world has cricketing talent as good as Pakistan.

"I am not saying it because I belong to this country. Even players like Sir Viv Richards used to say same thing about Pakistan. The best batsman of Pakistan at the moment is Misbahul Haq and he was given chance at the age of 34. Mohammad Irfan was selected at the age of 30. At these ages players are normally thinking about retirements," he commented.

Afridi a liability for Pakistan, says Sarfraz Nawaz

Outspoken former Test cricketer Sarfraz Nawaz says Shahid Afridi would not have been a part of the Pakistan T20 team had the all-rounder not been leading the side at the 2016 World T20.

The 66-year-old former fast bowler said keeping Afridi in the side was stunting the emergence of young stars and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should assess their decision before the big event next year.

“PCB should not go on ifs and buts hoping that Afridi would perform some day,” Sarfraz said while talking to APP.

T20 captain Afridi has managed to score 64 runs and take only two wickets at the cost of 129 runs in 19 overs in his last five T20 outings.

Even though Pakistan clinched the recent two-match T20 series against Zimbabwe, Afridi’s individual performances were below par.

Sarfraz was of the opinion that a player like Afridi, who performed “once in a blue moon” was a liability for the team.

The flamboyant all-rounder recently moved to Lahore to utilize the facilities at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) fully before the 2016 World T20 and has already said that form is not a worry for him. He has also been named in the Habib Bank (HBL) squad for the upcoming Quaid-e-Azam trophy tournament.

PCB chief Shaharyar Khan also has backed the 35-year-old fully and has assured him full support until the end of the World T20.

Earlier, Pakistan’s head-coach Waqar Younis said he was not worried over Afridi’s form and said that the 35-year-old would soon hit his straps.

Chief selector Haroon Rasheed also backed Afridi to come good at the World T20.

“I am sure he will do well in the T20 World Cup,” he said.

Sarfraz, meanwhile, also weighed in on the Bilal Asif development, putting the blame squarely on PCB.

The Pakistan off-spinner Bilal Asif was reported for a suspect action following the third ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare.

Sarfraz questioned the quality of umpires in the domestic circuit.

“They should have seen and sorted his action before,” he said.

"We are at Number 9 in the world and in the last 4 ODIs we have seen why" : Mickey Arthur

Mickey Arthur speaking after the 4th ODI:

"Very frustrating (re Irfan). He was put on standby when the ODI squad was selected. He went to the NCA and trained, played 2 50-over games, one 20-over game. He was training and getting ready."

"I'm finding my way with the one-day team. I want to give guys opportunities and we'll know by the end of the tour who we can take forward and who we can't. Irfan was a player of interest and I wanted to have a look at him here."

"The effort and the attitude of the guys has been excellent. It is what it is, we are #9 in the world and we can see why and the last 4 ODIs have been an eye opener for me. England are a phenomenal team. We haven't got quick starts, we haven't been able to clear the ropes at the finish, we don't have those guys in this squad of 15. These are things we need to bear in mind for the next ODI series. Every game, it becomes clearer in my mind who we want to take forward. We have to invest in some players, and it won't happen overnight."

"We've got 2 series against WI and we have to play well against them. The 5 ODIs against AUS will be incredibly tough. We want a squad that we can work with and invest in, and I think I have a good handle on it now. Hopefully, by the time the Champions Trophy comes around, the squad will start doing nicely and we'll have specialists to perform certain roles."

"Inzi and myself have developed a good relationship. I spent 40 mins with him on the phone yesterday discussing where we are with the ODI team. What I'm finding out is who can do a job, and who can't."

"You'd like to think that Umar Akmal has learnt a lesson. I haven't had a conversation with him yet. He is a very good finisher and his form in the local T20 competition is good. We'll never compromise on discipline."

"We've gotta develop guys who can hit the ball out of the ground, guys who are strong and fit. They need to be able to do those roles for us. We need to identify them and invest time in them to make sure they're able to deliver."

"I want to back Azhar Ali. He has been fantastic in the change room, he is a fantastic individual. He has a lot of respect from his peers and he played very well tonight. I have no problems with him and I think he's doing a fine job."
