F)16 production lines in Texas were only open due to Pakistan. After India's"Successful" diplomacy if sending sunny Leone to warm some beds of lonely American senators, the Pakistani F-16 deal was cancelled and now they have to dump their F-16s on India or shut down production for good.

I absolutely doubt the quality of US product nowadays. Given the corporate greed and cutting corners to maximize profit of US corporate. Gone are the days where US product is superior.

That in included military product. Remember the news US defence contractor in order to maximize profit put counterfeit parts in military hardware.

It is a myth that US military product are superior and sophisticated than counterparts. The only thing that keep this myth alive is American self bragging BS media and Hollywood. Many ignorant take the bait and have the wrong perception US military product is still better. Worst, they are overpriced and inferior. They are high priced becos of expensive labour cost and corporate greed and the foolish customer paying the high prices with no merit.

We have become a puppet nation of west, our politicians work for western interest.
Pakistan needs to be independent, develop it's on policies and work toward it's own interest just like other countries.
Pakistan needs to improve it's relationship with USA.
1) Pakistan should not accept any AID from USA
2) Pakistan should only ask for Port fees/transportation fees for USA/NATO goods goings to Afghanistan from Pakistan.
3) Reduce dependencies on USA
4) Build Friendship/economic relationship with other regional and global powers.
5) Fence entire Pakistan - Afghanistan border.

IF Pak is not able to buy any western or russian aircraft directly..then I say Pak should persuade russia to sell J-11 to Pak via China....they can be real force multiplier and with better range n payload than F16...that's the most realistic option here for Pak...and then we can move on to 5th gen easily.

In a way we have already stopped pursuing US as a source of major weapons systems.

All our recent procurements except AH-1Z have been non US. AH-1Z too was a pipeline project that some how went through however not yet delivered.

There is no jealousy involved but more of you can't accept the reality US sell military junk nowadays. They are indeed a lot of gullible countries buying overprice US stuff. Going with the hype of anything from US must be great quality.

Who knows we might get Gripen if our Airforce feels we need to replace F16 or may be Sukhoi-35 anything is possible when you deal with differnt suppliers or who knows we might get Mirage 2000 series from France

or 40 Mirage 2000 series from French airforce would be also taken up

But with JF17 Block 3 just around the corner , there is less pressure we can take some time to evaluate a good option

Gripes used American engine. Its is as good as kick itself if regards to saunction proof.

Mirage 2000 used planes are just bait to scam more money. Not worth buying considering those are old.

Su-35 is the only option. PLAAF might sold off our newly acquired Su-35 soon in few years time.
