Pakistan did this a day after Afghanistan based TTP killed 4 Pakistani soldiers and weeks after Afghanistan based BLA attacked Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi

Disgraceful act by a country led by cowards. Both in uniform and in sherwani

On 23 October 2017 the President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani announced that "The Afghanistan and Pakistan Trade Agreement (APTA) has expired"[1] and issued a decree banning Pakistani trucks from entering the country via the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings, TOLOnews reported.

You know what? I really hate afghans.

So, do you support the Pakistani government harboring thousands of Afghan Taliban leaders, fighters and their families all over western Pakistan? I suppose you make a distinction between "good" Afghans and "bad" Afghans? Maybe Pakistan needs to decide which Afghans to be friends with and then be consistent and transparent about it....

China & USA are fighting with each other , however they dont ban EXPORTS.... but ban on imports only.

only an idiot will ban export of their own country.... specially country like Pakistan with no money in wallet.

Afghans who are peaceful and pro trade with us are good Afghans.

Afghans who claim our territories and kill us for racial superiority are bad Afghans for everyone not just Pakistanis.

What about Afghans who live openly in Pakistan, train and gather arms in Pakistan, and then go over the border into Afghanistan and kill Afghan government soldiers and policeman and wantonly kill Afghan civilians? Are these Afghan Taliban good Afghans or bad Afghans?

Please - stop with the US scapegoating of Pakistan.

One day it's Pakistan, the next it's the Iranians and then its the Russians.

At some point Americans need to acknowledge that their military and successive government's had no clue as to how to deal with Afghanistan. The US sidelined Pakistan thinking they were schmucks who would be satisfied with some measly short-term aid dollars whilst building a strategic relationship with India and turning a blind eye to Afghanistan and the Afghan intelligence agencies sheltering and supporting Baloch & TTP terrorists.

The insurgency in Afghanistan exists because of local support. It is led by local commanders with foot soldiers on the ground who receive support and shelter from the communities in Afghanistan.

'Thousands' of Taliban leaders & fighters don't cross the border into Afghanistan from Pakistan every day to carry out attacks - if that were the case, why didn't the US and Afghanistan help fund and construct the fence/wall that Pakistan eventually started constructing on its own?

The US administration and military have treated most Americans like a bunch of chumps and sold them their absolute strategic failure in Afghanistan by scapegoating everyone and their uncle.

From our perspective, although we are not blameless and have made mistakes in the past. There are absolutely good and bad Afghans, there are those who fund, facilitate and train terrorists to target Pakistan, and there are those who’ve been marginalised as a result of US occupation, who are now on the cusp of achieving political reconciliation.

From our perspective, hostile elements in Afghanistan are dangerous because of the state of the people and the border on each side. It’s porous and the people mix freely. We to this day host more Afghan refugees than most wealthy hypocrites can manage despite their willingness to engage in reckless destabilising wars in the region. And for that we also suffer being at the front line of the opium trade, our nation is dying because the US and it’s allies has allowed opium to flourish under their watch.

So while I can see the grey in our own culpability and role in Afghanistan, to paint us in such negative light without a fair assessment is wrong. Going forward we’ll deal with Afghanistan to make sure peace prevails there for our own sake, not for the sake of benevolent invaders and superpowers. I hope this post doesn’t come across as too combative and you understand where we’re coming from.

and afghans who live in pakistan and make videos on youtube, spewing hate and show their love for india. You forgot them. I'm writing too politely I'll get banned if I don't.

I have no problem with afghanistan existing as a state and prospering but for god's sake
Get off our backs, we've had enough of liabilities, afghan sponsored terrorism, traitors and economic collapse

We have a crystal clear perspective about that, those who listen would understand

I'm not "scapegoating" Pakistan. I am pointing the very simple concept that what goes around comes around. You are pointing it out with respect to American foreign policy "mistakes", I am implying that Pakistan makes its own foreign policy "mistakes". One of which is harboring violent Afghan groups.

Agree on all. To add to this, they set themselves up for failure on day one. Their forces intervened in an ongoing civil war in Afghanistan, picking the northern alliance over the Taliban. They unwittingly got caught up in a local and ethnic power struggle that they were never going to win. The blame on Pakistan is disproportionate and unfair.

We on the forum have been saying this for over a decade, it’s only now when the US needed us to open up a dialogue with the Taliban and now that negotiations have happened that ours views have been vindicated.

And if that's not enough, imagine refugees instigating sentiments against the state they take refuge in
for example
Pashtunistan

No one knows how many Afghans live in Pakistan.

Afghanistan is in perpetual war. The tribal nature of the country ensures that there will always be grieving parties in Afghanistan.

The criminal elements do exploit the lack of border management by Afghanistan as it refuses international convention in such regard.
