Pakistan considering Afghans to be allowed entry without visas

It is a very good and practical suggestion. Now we need to reap the benefits of the victory of ISI in Afghanistan. We should make a confederation with Afghanistan on the basis of One Confederation - Two Systems with Afghanistan having Sharia Law and us having our 1973 Constitution. We should also create a single currency on the pattern of Euro. Furthermore, we should allow duty free trade between the two countries. Pakistani manufacturing hubs like Lahore, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Gujranwala etc will get a boost and the economy will rise again. Similarly, we got cheap Pomegranates and Grapes from Afghanistan this year. We can send our trained technicians from Punjab and KPK for work in Afghanistan. Similarly our Airport Technicians from the Army and CAA can work in operating Afghanistan's airports.

If you would have been talking about 5000 people or certain groups then okay, no body would have mind it. But trying to stir up 5 crore population of the country ? That's the first minor step towards border management between the 2 countries. Pakistan should send advisors from NADRA to evaluate the database and provide expertise in managing it.

Multiple visa programs need to be offered to cater for all factors and aspects of cross border commute or transit.

The topic & focus was on Afghanistan. We should never let anyone make it a internal ethnic Pakistani issue.

BTW! Back on topic. The videos of Taliban officials / border issues should be quite enough evidence to clear doubts of Taliban supporters. They keep passing out comments against Pakistan. Afghanistan as a whole has strong anti-pak sentiments for whatever reasons. Its not going to change any time soon. The anti-Pak sentiments are so high that anti-Taliban groups accuse Taliban as agents of Pak. It seems, atleast some Taliban officials have started Pakistan bashing perhaps to white-wash that label from them. In these circumstances, there should be no travel at all without proper visa / entry permission / documentation.


IK needs to end the Taliban's appeasement policy. It is not working. He needs to tell Taliban that if you need good relations with Pakistan, wants trade / open borders then behave, put a leash around your officials who utter anti-pak statements every now and then. Never allow anti-pak statements on your media, Every facilitation towards afghans should be conditional on their behavior, their respect of border etc.

Although chances of making Afghanistan as Pro-pakistan / friendly country are very low to be honest.. but still can be tried with baby steps as the 2 countries have to live together after all, can change bit of views with constant feed of positive propaganda. If Taliban wanted good relations & want to live as good neighbors they can sensor their anti-pak media channels, should restrict them away from indian & other anti-pak propaganda.. focus on pak-afghan programs etc on the long run perhaps little bit change can happen ...... but Taliban isn't doing and Pak govt is not telling them to do... there is all enmities & hatreds still going ..
