Pakistan clears $93.5m to settle decades-old trade dispute with Russia

Russia has lot of economic and defense interests with India and unless that changes fanboys should put a hold to their wet dreams about realignment. Even with current tense relations with US we have better relations with them than we can ever have with Russia. Given the chance Pakistan will always opt for US than Russia.

There are many reasons for that.
Free education in top schools, colleges and universities for Generals and politician’s children, free shopping for their wives, etc.

Another things I noticed that pakistan is a poor country but spend way too much money on their embassies around the world. All of them are over staffed and full of incompetent people. Even the Ambassador is crook, over billing and fake invoices for the fake trips. ISI should have a chat with a Embassy accountant to figure out where the money going.
They are way behind in technology. They are still using excel spreadsheet for F-16 part orders. Pakistan need to invest in AI and related technology and automate the whole process to reduce 50% of the overhead.

Russia Ranks 137 on corruption index so worry about yourself than Pakistan. As for incompetence i would say journey from USSR to just Russia pretty much says it all.

Doesn't matter if we use spreadsheets or paper pencil as a matter of fact F16 alone is enough to take out anything Made in Russia.

Great about time we improve our ties with Moscow as part of a new potential Eurasian bloc but in reality Russia will just probably be pragmatic with both Islamabad and New Delhi,but always good to have cordial ties with another world power with a standing like Russia

True, it's good to have ties with Russia but Pakistan should be very careful. Hopefully we don't have fools in Islamabad who will make a blunder of trusting Russians. Hopefully pakistan have learnt the lesson from 65 and 71 and then 80's and all those countless times when Russia supported India against Pakistan especially in UN.

I am a Pakistani living in DC area. I know that Generals get their shopping done here and C-130 goes back with full of personal stuff including Refrigerator, ACs, washing machines, cooking range, etc.
Every government office is over staff with incompetent people with 80s mindset. World is moving forward and Pakistan is backward. Metric pass person using excel spreadsheet to figure out if the F-16 part was received, if received what date it was received and was it loaded on the C-130 plane. AI can replace 30% to 40% of government employees and military force.
Don’t push me, I will open the Pandora box of how Afghan nationals (NDS supporters) are able to get Pakistani passports and others Afghans are able to get Pakistani visa without background checks.

Unfortunately it is true and I am a witness to the whole case it happened late in 2007, and I also know the guy who had helped this Indian in getting the passport. The Pakistani guy who was working at a travel agency was contacted by this Indian guy who was wanted in some case, and he along with his counterpart in the embassy got the fake passport arranged for the Indian man. The man fortunately was caught at the airport, and that is where all of it came to light. I was going to the consulate regularly those days as I had to submit some papers for my national ID and also get my passport renewed. And we could see people from the FBI going in and out and also collection all the papers, and also I believe I was told by the gentleman that I was in touch with at the consulate that the FBI was looking in to the record of pretty much every one that had come and gone out of the consulate. Well I don’t blame them and it’s a good thing that the man was caught at least that bought all these f**k**g traitors to light.

O really could have sworn you are one of those afghanis who travel across the globe on Pakistani Passport yet still spew shit about their country. I dont need to hear about entitlements from a US/Russian whatever kind of spoiled brat you are living in your own little world devoid of realities.
US generals are seen in prostitution dens all around the globe so what's so new here? All the privileged and entitled try their best to manipulate the system its just the way of world. Doesn't give you right to be calling others whatever you want just bcz your arse was born privalleged.
