PKR 13.87 Bln equates to roughly $136mln for 6 boats. I had initially thought the boats are likely to be the 80 ton harbour patrol boat with the GRCs policing the EEZ but at over $20 mln a boat we may be talking about a bigger class of vessel unless the price includes tot, training and infrastructure costs plus the sensor suites.

If these are going to be inducted then the should have some more fire power.
Haixun-class cutter

@Penguin your comments on this news would be highly appreciated.

Essentially, you're looking at something along the lines of the 4-ship class of 400ton patrol boats PMSA currently operates as "corvettes", which are also from CSTC

Primary Business:: Maritime Security Agency ::

A 4-prop, 4 shaft, 4 diesel propulsion set up suggests a lineage in fast patrol boats, rather than a larger OPV or Corvette or light frigate (these typically would have a 2 shaft set up) .

Given the displacement, top speed and propulsion set up, it could even be a patrol version of the AZMAT, with improved range (e.g. increased bunkerage).

e.g. Haixun-1103

On Nov. 6, 2014, Haixun 1103, the first large patrol ship of the Sanya Maritime Safety Administration, was officially commissioned. The ship is 64 meters long, 10 meters wide, with 830 tons of displacement and 1,800 sea miles of cruising ability. The well-equipped ship is capable of conducting air and sea cruise under various weather conditions.

out of 6 two would be built in Pakistan, hence average price per boat would be much higher than $20m

..great news. Keep it up.................:smitten::pakistan::china:

Just compare the hull lines.

It is very similar...This would only indicate that these can be equipped with different systems for different roles.
If this is true then a lighter F-22P could be developed. Currently it is at the border line of being a Frigate due to its displacement.
