How stupid can you Pakistanis get, do you even know what causes floods in Assam. Hear it from an Assamese first, for starters the amount of rainfall we have had in upper Assam and Pasighat(lower reaches of Arunachal) in the last 72 hours would be more than your entire monsoon in Pakistan. Still, you people have devastating floods over there. And the main reason of flooding is topography, entire rainfall in Arunachal and rain forests of Myanmar collects in the saucer shaped basins of the affected districts. Government, both state and central is doing all it can for humans and even ANIMALS. I give you an example, in Kaziranga National Park, forest guards are braving flood waters at night to help the one horned rhinos.
Do question me if you want any genuine information on Assam and India's Northeast, instead of listening to your propaganda bots on PDF.

Do you have an internet enabled smartphone, if yes then please open google maps and look at the location of eastern Arunachal, adjoining border of Myanmar and upper Assam. Now change the map to sattelite mode to grasp a clearer idea of the general direction of the mountain and hill slopes. Next have a look at the tributaries of Brahmaputra in those areas. You will get your answer. Come back to me if doubts still persist. Regards.
Edit: If you study the map carefully you will also know why China can never threaten India by building dams on Brahmaputra, as you are lead to believe by your media and 'experts'.

Warning mechanisms exists, district administrations announce advisories and battalians of State Disaster Response Force(SDRF) are always kept on standby for any eventuality. As and when required help is also sought from NDRF, IAF and IA. But you must know that warning mechanisms are more essential for cloudbursts and flashfloods like what happened in Uttaranchal and in your Pakistan, as they can occur in short notice. For monsoon flooding, the MET department notices are enough to know the magnitude.

But you must now that Brahmaputra is a huge river, in most places one cannot see the opposite banks, it is so wide. So efforts sometimes fall short on support.

Got it if Warning mechanism exists then why Indian Govt not Providing any info regarding flood to Pakistan since 1999.. after all J&K is being Controlled by India.. and your Indian friends are making fun in the thread, link is below

In addition to this, the Brahmaputra is a 'braided' river, lots of interlinked channels make flood control a herculean task. For example, one branch of the river may look like a small stream this year, but next year it will become a very wide channel or totally change its location or may even reduce in size. No warning system can prepare people for it, i have seen many villages getting eroded by Brahmaputra 's fury. Of course, we locals know well about it and take measures accordingly.
One final point, the hill streams that feed the Brahmaputra are of very high speeds and straight so they bring high quantity of silt which exacerbates flooding. Hope this helps those who want to know the gist of flooding in Assam.

You didn't get what i am saying, floods in Pakistan are flash floods and glacial lake outburst floods which are hard to predict without proper equipments. Unlike floods in flood-plains, flash floods depend on a lot of issues. I am sure Indian government won't be able to help you even if they wanted to.
Your country will have to set up infrastructure and send remote sensing satellites for that effect, no use in blaming India for that.
