Pakistan, China & Iran Blocked From India Air Show

Iran was blocked, from what I can tell, simply because Israel is coming, and in the defence field Israel is more important to us than Iran. However, Iran is still our friend, and if you look at the volume of Indo-Iranian trade and cooperation, especially in the energy sector, it dwarfs Israel.

Also, @ all Indians here, please ignore the pseudo-Chinese trollers who like to flaunt their numerous achievments in aviation, such as copying just about every Russian fighter jet ever produced.

Don't kid yourself, Indians are going to be stuck with Russian tech long after China is. Keep buying.

How many Indian produced planes will be in the show? or will it just be a show of foriegn planes and ones imported into india?

LCA, Dhruv, LCH, Kiran, Sitara, Lakshya, Nishant, and Rustom will all be there.

There are also rumors that the mock-up of Nirbhay will be displayed.

You see, India no longer buys but instead prefers to engage in JVs and licensed production with other countries with extensive experience in certain areas. For example, the Su-30MKI is such a formidable plane because it a hybrid of the best-of-the-best, including the Russian airframe, Israeli avionics, Indian software, French weapon systems, etc.

By engaging in joint ventures and licensed production India can aquire all the experience and technology it needs to build a strong domestic base, without having to engage in espionage and blatant copyright enfringement like a certain country does.

It is also important to note that indigenzation has long been a priority of the PLAAF, hence the extensive development of the Chinese aviation industry, while for India indigenization wasn't a priority until recently.

You mean in IDEAS or China Airshow or Farhborough Airshow only the host country can buy stuff and all envoys of other countries attend those shows for eating phelwan choley???

Anyway its no big news.... Who cares...

No I didn't complete my comment. We extended invitations to the countries who are friendly and can be potential market for Indian products.. Hope that make sense, if not, then they might be there for eating phelwan choley...

And what Afghanistan, Suriname, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Peru, Bolivia offered to you that they participated in this airshow in year 2009???

Come on. The real embarrassment are the pathetic grandiose posts of many Bharatis here which only make them look like an idiot. Stop it please. Your post wasn't different either. :pop:

Who said we only invited countries who have something to offer to us? We are looking for markets for our products as well hence the invite to some other friendly countries. obviously, we do not have anything to offer to u or China so whats the big deal? :smokin:

so you built the technology on ur own and its not a copy of discarded Russian projects...

16 pages of discussion and you say who cares.

I mean it was obvious that China and Pakistan would not be invited and if invited would not come..
I mean wouldnt India snoop around then..radar cross section and all..

There are only three posts posted by chinese menber before my "Who cares " post? All of them are posted for fun. and most posts of this thread are posted by your indian menbers.

*to invite china
-a gesture of friendship
-it's likely china will send j-10b, uav, helis... and j-10b, instead of shipping they will fly them over india airspace which will cause out-cry and bad publicity (at least 1 j-10b and 1 tanker)
*to invite pakistan
-a gesture of friendship
-jf-17 will fly over and this is the biggest embarrassment to india, since this lite 4g fighter cost so little (+full tot) and in so little time compare to the tejas
*to invite iran
-a gesture of friendship
to invite or not is not big a deal, but the medias in india make big noise, like china and pakistan are india's enemies
the point is "do india really want china & pakistan as your enemies instead of friendly next door neighbors? and stop importing gas and oil from iran? :usflag:

your saying india's is so insecure as to worry and cry about 1 plane flying over its air space on a path india provided with possible Indian escorts? i dont think they're that paranoid but then again the indian media...

Glad pakistan isn't coming. I don't know about China, but why not Iran?
