CHINA WELCOMES TURKISH BID FOR SCO MEMBERSHIP

Turkey's aspirations for membership in the Russian and Chinese-led Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) might materialize as the organization moves towards admitting new members, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a special talk with Today's Zaman.

“The SCO is working on improving the administrative and financial basis for new members. The member states of the SCO will meet and make a decision together on the applications proposed by states that are interested in joining,” said a senior Chinese official on Friday.

In addition, he said the SCO observes the principle of openness and values the partnership with observer countries, including Turkey as a dialogue partner, adding that “the SCO is mapping out detailed cooperative measures.”

This would form the best alliance and work as bulwark against the love triangle of India,Iran and Afghanistan in the region.

. .
Turkey like Pakistan is situated on strategical locations.
Turkey is reaping it well. I hope after CPEC Pakistan to finds its way.

Seriously is this a joke????
And some naive clueless members here even believe this??:pleasantry::rofl:

No it is not. I looked, looked and looked. And I Po the friendly country. Yeh it's Iceland.

Couple of facts here.

*Turkey will never leave NATO
*Turkey will never sever the alliance with USA
*Turkey will never join in with Russia
*Turkey will remain and be part of the West.
*Turke was always part of the West.

So people please stop deluding yourselves. Turks are integral part of the West. Brothers can have strong rivalry but they still belong to one family. Ditto West and Turkey.

Some people seem to think Turkish leader's are foolish to remain part of NATO and closer to the West. Seems they think they know how t run Turkeys foreign policy and interests the Turkish leader's /people themselves .

As I always said:it's good to wish but don't believe your wish is reality. Lol

Anyway Turkey will remain a NATO for the foreseeable future, there are many reasons for that. Turkey has benefited tremendously from being a member of NATO/Western led camp as well. Only a fool that knows nothing about E U/U.S and Turkish MILITARY/technological cooperation will think otherwise. :pop: Turkey is free to leave NATO and join SCO anyday though.lol
NATO doesn't force any country to be a member :p:

.
Sp its all cool on the Uighyur front with China now?

Mike just a small question;

Erdogan's first formal visit after the coup attempt will be to Russia. Should we take a message or this is just a random visit, not worth to mention ? (asking from Western perspective)

Some important points made in an article of Urdu newspaper (not considered very credible though) but made some claims regarding Turkey, the recent coup, Turkey's entrance in SCO and US displeasure.....

I translated some of the claims of this article which i found important.....

1) Turkish president had been informed about possible coup two months prior the coup happening by the premier intelligence agency of a FRIENDLY MUSLIM country...

2) Killing of Mr. Erdogan was also a part of plan/coup...

3) Personal security guards of Mr. Erdogan (good number of of them) were also involved with coup planners...

4) Mr. Erdogan, two weeks prior of coup, requested to very same country (who told him about possible coup) for batch of special forces, who will, along with loyal Turk security personnels, guard Mr. Erdogan.

5) Request was accepted and After 1 and a half week, that friendly country sent a platoon of special forces (one major, 4 captains and near 150 trained commandos) in a military plane...

6) Coup soldiers had a fight with troops guarding Mr. Erdogan for 20-25 minutes, resulted in killing of 22 coup soldiers then Mr. Erdogan was taken to safe place...

7) These commandos are still in Turkey because coup can happen again...

8) Mr. Erdogan was told by friendly country that the story of Egypt is going to be repeated in Turkey by US and West...

9) Diplomatic sources in Islamabad are saying that US is frustrated about possible alliance b/w Turkey, Pakistan, China and Russia under the banner of SCO...Mr. Erdogan agreed to become part of SCO....

10) Pakistan, China and Russia are working to bring Turkey in SCO...A lot of working has been going on this....If Pakistan and Turkey become members of SCO, it will create a very powerful alliance like of NATO which US doesn't like at all...

11) When Turkey shot down Russian jet, it damaged the efforts of bringing Turkey into SCO...US was very happy on that but Pakistan watered on the rift and helped in bringing both Turkey and Russia closer...

.......This is all i wanted to highlight from this article.....plz don't get offense from this and try to have some cool headed discussion...

@MastanKhan @Killuminati420 @T-Rex @Tipu7 @Zarvan @somebozo @salarsikander @dadeechi @Sinan @damm1t @T-123456 @Areesh @F.O.X @That Guy @Kaptaan @Talwar e Pakistan @Bratva and all others.....
No super falcon in list you rate me below anyway

Turkey should get rid of USA join new group China russia

Turkey is a strong and independent country. A very important one at that.

SCO membership will be good for Turkey and SCO.

For now the most important element is economic and industrial cooperation between Turkey, China and Pak.

The nature of Rus-Turk relationship is complex.

With Turkish membership... SCO will be sea to sea organisation with a super continent landmass in between.

This is essential to create a space for lasting peace and development.

.
But Russia and Muslims are supposed to conquer Constantinople before the dawn of the Anti Christ ...

Sorry to interpt but i have read in hadis that the roman will conqueror Constantinople before the anti christ and imam mehdi will command the muslims to once again conqueror Constantinople then anti christ will appear in ME .if i am wrong please tell me who call themselves roman i think they surely nato member now a days not the russians

According to me the whole situation hinting towards Mr Erdogan planning the coup himself. The way everything was orchestrated, the surrender of all rebel soldiers, Mr Erdogan leaving his presidential palace and going to a secure place before even coup started.I give you the fact about it. It is claimed that immediately after the unsuccessful coup many Government and Private employees somewhere around 1800 - 2000 were dismissed from their jobs (Many newspaper circulating this news). They are the ones who either took part in anti-government or were thought to be have anti- sentiments for Mr Erdogan about his failure against the Yahidis insurgency.

*Turkey will never leave NATO
*Turkey will never sever the alliance with USA
*Turkey will never join in with Russia
*Turkey will remain and be part of the West.
*Turke was always part of the West.

This made total sense here rather then assuming what Turkey is going to do. Sitting on a door of Europe surrounded by all western supporters means big change in their game plan. Turkey is going nowhere leaving US and allies. And for some reason Russia cannot be trusted by Turkey. They feel secure with them.

but turkey can be a part SCO with EU membership

and NATO

No problems at all but being with both will conflict interest of both major driving force behind SCO and NATO

If the US and CIA backed the failed coup attempt, i wouldn't hesitate supporting SCO for one second. As one user said, we've seen enough death and destruction by the West, perhaps it's time we reconsider where we belong. Among thieves savage Western imperialism or among millennia old civilizations where we originally belong

Turkey will never join hands with Russia. Pakistani's, in particular are allowing fumes from the "Muslim ummah" weed to distort their understanding of Turkey. Russia and Turkey have 200 years of antagonism which has just carried on through the ages. Changing denominations like Tsarist Russia/Ottoman Empire to USSR/Turkish Republic to Russian Federation/Turkish Republic have not changed the underlying dynamics.

Through all that time the Turks have looked West. First to Germany. Then to USA. Turkey will not look east. Turkey has it's eyes firmly set on the West. Notwithstanding some diplomatic maneuvering designed to extract the maximum out of the West, Turkey will firmly remain embedded in the West. The US and Turkish alliance is crucial and vital alliance to both sides. Only slightly behind US/Israel nexus. Have a look at Turkish defence products. They all carry the strong stamp of "USA". From F-16s to Altay tank etc. On NATO ranking structure I would place Turkey just behind Germany in it's strategic importance.

1. USA
2. UK
3. France
4. Germany
5. Turkey

and rest of the alphabet soup.

@Zulkarneyn Your thoughts?
