Pakistan Certified To Repair SAAB AWACS

.
Just for your Info, There was a credible intel threat Kamra airbase would be attacked 2 week prior to attack. Even Rehman Malik claimed it on Media that Kamra airbase is one the hitlist of terrorists. The shameful negligence of Kamra airbase defenders and Parking AWAC in the open to give terrorists an easy target to hit ? DO you call this an achievement ? Our P3C were hit and despite that PAF officials were in oblivion of how to secure assets back then. Whatever the money they have spent on repairs and replacing a destroyed SAAB AWAC could have been spend on better things.

Whats with this amateurish attitude? He is right. You banged your in the wall. Spend shit ton of money to repair it yourself. So will you be proud that yeah I gained skills to repair my own car ?
they were not in open and my info is alot more than that

Blunder has not been fixed, just being brushed under the carpet.

Complacency is usually not tolerated in a professional air force. No examples have been set for allowing a blunder to take place in the first place

When you have dumbocracy ruling a country, it's ought to cost $ billions.

The problem I see here is that you guys are unable to separate the two issues and seeing through single eye. But what I see is two separate problems
  1. The huge security lapse => responsible are the security personnel & the management
  2. Reparation of destroyed system => responsible are the engineering team
so I see very clearly the separation of concerns.

I already replied and I'm able to separate the concerns which one-eyed people are not. But I would like to add that now we have achieved a unique technology to repair such a high-tech system and it will definitely help in designing our own system in future... Project Azm includes development of AESA radars

No need to get your knicker in a twist. Before you spew more nonsense may i ask how much you know about the demogarphics of PAF base minhas? I am pretty sure you have no clue about how many civil workers used to come and go from attock/kamra city via small entrances and may i remind the terrorists were wearing military uniforms...Stop BS posts and admire something which by the way is PAF engineers primary job. They are not meant to be on guard duty, they fix stuff which they did and saved tax payers money. If you are so unsatisfied then dare/care and share them your BS virtual anti terrorists tactics.

Well, whatever it was... it was a huge security lapse and all responsible person must be punished and made an example but failure of one team should not be used to undermine the great achievement by another team. Normally such systems are not allowed to be touched by OEMs but since the systems were fully destroyed and beyond repair so SAAB let PAC to do whatever it could and PAC did a great job...beyond the expectations of SAAB. So definitely that's an achievement and a unique one. Now, we can earn money by repairing other AFs systems, repair & maintain our own system and also use this know how as a baseline for our own design but the one-eyed on this thread won't be able to see this.

I wish our friends here could understand that this achievement is by PAF engineers and all the credit goes to them. The security failure was not the responsibility of the engineering team.

i am ashamed of this nothing to be proud here a major failure .
Agreed with him and
i am ashamed of this nothing to be proud here a major failure .
Though it is a good feat on the side of our engineering team, overall it's not a success and we have to accept our failures. I hope that the current security measures are in much better shape.

This is priceless knowledge gained by PAF.. without that "unfortunate" event.. you could not have bought the total TOT of this very potent AEWC with its Radar..even for $5 billion.. now it is there for the price of one lost aircraft.. it is just a blessing..
