Hurriyat Conference (g) chairperson Syed Ali Geelani on Friday termed Pakistan as “centre of hope” of Muslim Ummah and said that the country was a great blessing for Muslims.

The spokesman said in a statement that on Thursday Dy High Commissioner Pakistan called Syed Ali Geelani on the telephone and extended the invitation for participation on Pakistan day, however Geelani while extending his greeting replied that he can’t attend because of health issues.

Geelani said that unparalleled sacrifices were presented for its creation & Pakistan has proven to be a great blessing for the Muslims and “we should thank Almighty Allah for that”.

He said that the “blessing day” of 23 March is such an important day when a resolution was passed for creation of separate nation for the Muslims some 77 years back & it is a dream realized when forces like “Sangh Pariwar” were opposing and spreading their venomous dogma against its creation.

He said the creation of Pakistan has changed the discourse of history. “This is the only Muslim country in the world which openly supports the right to self-determination of Kashmiris and helps them on political, diplomatic and moral levels.”

“It was the time when this kind of thinking was considered as impossible and the fanatic communal forces were harshly opposing this move but the determination of the leadership succeeded in creation of a paradise-like resort for those aspiring to see their dream come true,” said Geelani, according to the statement.

Hailing Pakistan for its unflinching support to Kashmir cause, Syed Ali Geelani said that Pakistan has been established on ideology instead of geography and every Pakistani should realize their duty to safeguard its fundamentals and ideology.

Geelani said that is the reason that people of Kashmir are extremely thankful to them for that they love and pray for its prosperity.

Syed Ali Geelani asked Pakistan rulers to activate its embassies all over the world and apprise world about this issue and people facing the atrocities from government forces.

He’s passing the knowledge down to the younger generation before his soul departs. As a Kashmiri myself I would like to thank my Pakistani brothers and the nation for supporting Kashmir cause. Reality is that without Kashmir Pakistan is an unfinished agenda. If today Pakistan backs away from Kashmir, the country would not have conflict with any other nation. Be it India or Afghanistan, USA would support Pakistan economically, and the country can thrive at very rapid pace. Despite all these factors the country is basically taking on the world by itself with help of Allah and and hope for Muslims across the world. Look back how weak was Pakistan militarily when USA invaded Afghanistan. Alhumdulillah!! Today it’s more powerful than ever, even mighty USA would think 10 times before pulling out some stunt. It’s reach is up to Europe, and most likely beyond. We have to eradicate corruption and stop voting for Zardari and Nawaz. Inshallah! Soon we will get rid of these blood suckers. Those who wants to stop the support for Kashmir should no there’s no Pakistan without Kashmir and that’s a fact.

NONE. There is no "Us" or "Muslim world". Pakistan and other countries with Muslim majorities will continue to fend for themselves.
