Obviously Indonesia is a much bigger economy.... Besides Cars are a product for the middle class in Pakistan.

For the lower middle class bikes are the go-to option....hence the huge number of bike sales in the country.

Can't find the exact number but obviously people would be prefering a 3 year old Japanese assembled car in the same price range as opposed to a locally assembled one.
An example would be Vitz versus the locally assembled swift.

by increasing the income of average Pakistani household. for that one needs employment opportunities, higher salaries, so on and so forth. most of the households in Pakistan still have 20-30 years old cars, because new ones are too expensive. and what can you seriously expect, things are expensive, income is low. salaries are not increasing in line with inflation. so until and unless a Qmobile type cheap option is not available in the automotive sector, the sale numbers will stay down.

other than that I believe most of the car sales can be attributed to different companies, who gift the cars to their employees, and not to individual buyers.

May be. But please keep in mind the typical Pakistani customer's mentality of "bher-chaal" that treats new products with great suspicion - mein taa hondaa/karolla hee laisan.
