Pakistan CANNOT "conquer Kashmir through war" : Hina Rabbani Khar

'Through war' is also unnecessary attachment. It is 'Pakistan can never conquer Kashmir'. It was not able to do in the 1940s-1970s period when India was weak. Now, it is totally impossible. We add one Pakistan (soon it will be two given our GDP growth rate) to our GDP every year and have the backing of all responsible powers of world. Pakistan cannot even conquer a single sq.km of India's land.

I am visiting this site after about 3 years. Still see the same zeal!

Apparently, What Hina Rabbani is saying is not wrong. Pakistan started with a fresh template in 1947, with no baggage to carry and with all the freedom to decide and make their own destiny. I believe you started well, had a pretty decent time till, maybe 70's - the same time frame while India was trying to keep moving. We were more or less equals, despite India being far larger.

Needless to say, one country lost the plot while other managed to put their pieces together, just enough to push forward at a higher pace. While one can argue at length about what caused this change, I would say - consistent foreign policy based on principles of mutual interests and long term vision is the one defining factor which has resulted in today's paradigm for India.

For all the problems we have, we somehow managed to work around them. In-spite of rampant corruption, for example, critical decisions are rather swiftly taken. Primarily because of well defined hierarchical structure of bureaucracy. One good person at higher level is enough to get everyone below moving in right direction.

We have managed to have good relations with most of the countries, even those who are sowrn enemies of each other, without harming our relations with any of them.

Over this context, let us ponder - We have good relation with UAE/Saudis as well as Iran and Israel, we have good relations with US as well as Russia, even with China we have a working relationship at least. with all our other neighbors too, we have pretty normal relationships (minor issues are normal). Why then, with only pakistan we have not been able to forge at least a working relationship? Pretty evident, fault does not lie with India.

In a country where politicians do business and military do politics, extrimists handle law and order and terrorists make their bases, it is rather surprising that such country still have managed to somehow survive. Hats off to that !!

I am beginning to think you have reading comprehension problems. Already explained twice, as usual fell on deaf ears. And yes, it is mistake for Pakistan to pursue CPEC. We get your message, loud and clear.

Again, the deflective tactics. Not gonna work this time. Why don't you admit it? It is okay to admit that you are insecure about CPEC project. Because you bring other points that are irrelevant, and nor that has any bearing on the constitution of Pakistan, nor the economy. Judging by your post, what did i expect? Keep deflecting. CPEC is here to stay. And of course, with two economical ports on board, Pakistan can afford to bleed Indian army to dry as long as Pakistan can. And it doesn't work for you rather it works against your interests since Pakistan lost Bangladesh for the same tactical reason India lost Azad Kashmir to Pakistan. I am beginning to think you are short-sighted and nor you are familiar with the history, your history. History repeats itself for a reason. :D

LOL. I am beginning to wonder if you even understand the meaning of the word "deflect". Pakistan lost Bangladesh as a tactical move? Hahahahaha. Right. That's half your country. That's losing the first 2.5 sets in a best of 5 set match on purpose. What brilliant tactics. And India did not lose "Azad" Kashmir. India never had it. Kashmir was a free, independent state which your troops masquerading as tribals unilaterally invaded. Read up some history - cause it is clear not only are you unfamiliar with the terms you use, but also the history and geography of your region. LOL.

Pakistan dont care a hoot about Kashmir. All it want is control over all rivers flowing through it. If LOC is made International border, those rivers will remain with India and pakistan will gain nothing.

who will import and export their goods using these roads, ofc it will be china ,so who should have paid for the project, unless Pakistan is planning to generate more revenue than china using cpec. So should have paid for the project.

India too has asked for a transit via BD to transport the goods to some of the north east states of India, guess who funded the project.
Now imagine if BD had funded the project or we spend on the project and BD has to return that money with intrest to India, see the difference.

Calling a ex minister and that too a lady ,escort with out any proof just because she said something you dont wanna hear shows your maturity.

I am surprised that a highly-respected and eminent member of society is able to recognise an escort. Normally only a pimp would spot such a person so quickly.

Didn't you? You are in this thread. What rebuttal would that be? So far i see, your point have been deflective. Talking about something else is irrelevant since my point was, and still is, that thank to CPEC, Pakistan can now afford to bleed Indian army to dry. You started the comparison analysis that was irrelevant to the point. It is that simple, and you guys cannot digest that, especially in Pakistan forum with your sarcasm tactics in place while your tone is indeed detected as insecure and hurt, which you already acknowledged with veiled hint [bold] unknowingly. :D

I take it you are doing deflective tactics on purpose or you have no clue at all? Your entire post shows you have no clue about CPEC at all. Good news is i already explained the purpose of CPEC that serves equally beneficial to Pakistan, and Middle East through Iran, and Central Asia through Afghanistan and the east side of Asia through China. Pakistan is not alone. If CPEC takes place, it will be for international market. Pakistan, China, Iran and Afghanistan will benefit equally if the mission expands which they will given the friendly relationship between Iran and Pakistan, and Afghanistan will do as order by its father, Pakistan. And for Bangladesh? China is taking care of it as we speak. Bangladesh may not be fond of Pakistan but they are fond of China and its billion-dollars mega projects. :D

It is sad that you followed your excellent and closely argued first post with this rather aimless second post. Keeping that first one in context, it is probably fair to consider this a temporary rush of blood to the head. Otherwise this second deserved a comprehensive refutation.

For the time being, let this stay - it is the only recognition of temporary insanity that can be procured without the psychological examination that would otherwise be inevitable.
