Pakistan Bulk Buying CH-4 Killer Drones From China

We are not buying anything but rather building it at home under TOT. Pakistan will field hundreds of these drones to police border and CPEC so no point buying off the shelf. Also Pakistan not be using Chinese powerplant and avionic but it will be based on Chinese design.

.
There will be no armed drone use on the LOC. However their importance in the western region against terrorists is vital.

. .
Also hope they give a good number of the longest range version or the twin engine Turkish equivalent under development to the navy to carry sonar Bouys and Torpedos. Allowing the navy to patrol more of the EEZ in the most cost effective manner. Coupled with swarms of small boats with towed decoys, should be able to detect any enemy movement above and below the waves from a long ways off.

Are you sure?
Just because Jordan returned them does not mean there is anything wrong with the drones itself ... only that they do not fit Jordanian needs (upkeep especially for CH-4 is quite costly). The Iraqis have used CH-4 drones for an extremely long time now and have been very satisfied with its performance. Inevitably, you will have unsatisfied customers and that is just something you have to deal with as an exporter.

Drone use on LOC will be too escalatory and will likely result in them getting shot down due to the huge concentration of firepower there. As such, I really don't see Pakistan purchasing any expensive drones like the CH-4 at this point in time.

Pakistan will surely regret this decision.

Leave it to the professional, beside they can evaluate dozen different MALE from us, there are dozen companies working on numerous projects, instead of what you do best (trolling) here, better update your sole national project rustom, haven't heard about it since ages.

That doesn't mean your weapons are good quality. Only poor countries with dysfunctional militaries buy your weapons as they cannot afford quality stuff, and also terrorists and militias. Russian weapon also have reliability problems and they are less sophisticated than their western counterparts. Since most of the Chinese weapons are knocked off versions of russian weapons their quality is much worse.

Chinese technology in many fields is ahead of russian. This includes semiconductor technology, electronic technology, 3D manufactering, composite technology, etc... The only field that I can think Russia still being ahead of China is only in jet/rocket engine technology. That to the Chinese will catch upto or surpass within the next 5 years.

Russia is fast becoming a Chinese client state. The only major nation that is willing to trade or even invest in Russia is China that to only being in the oil/gas sector whose employment options are much limited. Russias infrastructure and military is 90% in shambles. I will give credit to Putin for making the situation much better compared to a decade ago but still Russia has not been able to produce that many new Fighter jets, Tanks, ships, etc... and when compared to the Chinese the PLA is being modernized at a rate of x10 compared to Russia. China has far more modern weapons at its disposal than Russia/India combined.
