Hey i am looking for a middle ground here i am for a British style approach but i doubt it will happen in my lifetime inside Pakistan
All of our family members have atleast one gun in their homes ours is an oddity inside our family

that is why i am advocating here that we need to control people not the Guns........have an effective system in place for issuing licence, make it more streamline, close the loopholes in the system......develop training regimes .....limit the use of weapons to Home defense, car & Range use.....stop the tradition of aerial firing on weddings.....just type on youtube and everyday a new video is uploaded, where is the law ?

We actually did something similar to teachers but thankgod it never went past discussion stage
I am for eventual removal of guns from civies and only issuing of lisence for pistol in present stage you dont need rifles and shotguns for protection

I think we've done a great job at limiting the firearms in our society. They are machines designed to kill and not toys. Handing them out to civilians just like that makes no sense. There's barely any scenario ever where a civilian was able to prevent a terrorist incident by using his firearm even in a country like the US.
