Lo gi dasso...addi kami si..any way boht boht mubarkan hon sare sikh parawan noon..

Very good news. Pakistan is steadily going towards it's natural course, an all inclusive society, after all what was imposed on us by Zia.

Understood. Thanks for the explanation.
Wonder why India is lagging behind here then? This should be a fucking no brainer!

Anand Karaj (sikh marriage) law for Sikhs was enacted way back in 1909 but there was no provision to register sikh marriages, so it was decided to register Sikh marriages under Hindu marriage act as a makeshift arrangement. But as you know how snail paced our Govt and Babus have been, there have been no effort from any Govt since to do anything about it. It was then on 2012 that amendment bill was approved. But unfortunately it has been 6 years and even now it is not implemented.

I’ve heard that the Islamic marriage law allows one to practice polygamy..
So would it be possible for say a man born in a Sikh community to register his marriage under the Islamic law to take advantage of the polygamy loophole?
It is true thag Islam allows polygyny ,but that is hardly practised,no one is going to have two problems if he can't even deal one, most of males after work have hard time dealing matters of single family:partay:
Islamic Marriage Law is derived from Quran,Sunnah and Fiqah and that is only applicable on Muslims. That permission of polygyny isn't applicabe on sikhs, nor they can use it.

How cute... kaalay bundjabis kissing and hugging each other.

Someone get a hose and spray it on them before they start humping each other.

Anand Karaj

Is that how it's really pronounced, or is that simply your dumbass indiot sub-par bund-jabi brain mixing up "z" with "j" as usual.

Mirja Zatt.

Excellent Step

So general question and the machinations of my evil mind at work here but...
(Also pardon that I’m not well versed in marriage laws)

I’ve heard that the Islamic marriage law allows one to practice polygamy..
So would it be possible for say a man born in a Sikh community to register his marriage under the Islamic law to take advantage of the polygamy loophole? Or do they have checks and balances for such abuse of the law?

Asking for a friend lol

Yes Upto 4 Is Allowed Under Islamic Law But Your Presumptions Is Something Far Down The Road

I mean definitely far fetched an idea, but that’s why I’m curious if it’s possible.

But just want to understand how the govt. regulates people from misusing the law. Like what if a Sikh wants to register his marriage under Islamic marriage law. Will he have to prove his religion?

There Is No Obligation Under Pakistani Law To Prove Religion And Yes In Third World Countries Laws Are Open To Misuse

Muslim Family Law Ordinance only covers Muslims... so it doesnt apply to Sikhs,Hindus etc.

As for polygamy or second marriage.. according to law, a Husband has to seek his wife’s consent, aswell as make sure he can take care of the wife and wards financially etc.

Violations can land you in jail , a hefty fine.. or both..

Aswell as the wife filing for Khula (divorce)..
