Good Decision Ban every type of new Fittna because which events not related to Islam why those should be appreciated in Islamic countries. Islam is a complete way of life, there are Islamic Events Muslim youth celeberate them like Eideen, Hajj, Umrah, Eid Meelad E Nabi, etc.

In Pakistan people who cant operate a computer are watching prn and they banned youtube. These days people who cant even afford decent food are buying aphrodisiacs and they want to ban valentines day.

Well its in 14 feb. if you feel like enjoying it celebrate it, express ur love to ur loved ones.
If u think its against ur religion or ethics and you dont feel right about it, dont do it.

I am going to get some flowers and candies to my sweet lil niece.

I'm not a huge fan of Valentines day myself, it is too commercial for my liking, but having said that why not leave it to individuals themselves if they want to celebrate or not? Why does everything have to be banned by nanny state cum mullahs?

Surely there are much worse things than sending roses to a wife or girlfriend....and the way some of you guys talk anybody would think you were all brought into the world by storks! ;)

By the way an Islamic country would never need to ban anything that is alien or against Islam ............. it would automatically get rejected by lack of interest shown by the society, however in a confused society like Pakistan where selling donkey meat, adulteration of edible items, hoarding without any reason to earn "Interest" not "profit", injustice, exploitation of weak helpless, killing for fun and ego satisfaction, rapes, cruelty is the norm .............. such society does not even merit to object to anything or decide about anything being Islamic or non Islamic. I would suggest instead of declaring Haram Halal and Kafir Musalman we should really start thinking and researching on what an Islamic state actually means and how it works.

This is very unfortunate we are paying attention to only this day. I completely agree though. This is spreading evil in our society.
But I was kinda surprised to see Pakistanis celebrating Halloween, Black Fridays and few other holidays.
Even after living in USA, not even once I celebrated Halloween. Weird stuff.
Pakistanis day by day following west in everything. Many or maybe majority of them do NOT even know the history behind such events. But gotta follow it to look cool.
And such people have no ID. There are hanging somewhere in between Goras and desis. Looks annoying.
world is moving forward toward globalization and different culture are merging together creating a globally unified culture which is a good thing and it is bound to happen because of the advent of internet and other ways communication no mater how much conservatives try to stop it .but what i don't get is why we resist this change why not accept it with exception of few things which extremely contradicts with our own culture.you yourself are living in usa a you know better then many how mixed and global their culture is you can get sushi, daal, pizza and shawarma all at a single street.if this is not objectionable then why black friday and Halloween is.so don't we stop acting like our culture is Superior to any one else.
i would love to see my whole country men becoming desi gora hybrid if other option is to become isolated extremely radical mullah.

Appreciated that from Pakistan! Ban westernization...

More than just banning , they should try to show the reason why it is not liked/allowed in Islam. And also, as an example, why the people need to realize that if listening to loud obscene music is there right , it is equally the right of others not to hear it (who do not want to listen it). Only thing allowed publicly should be what is considered allowed in Islam. Other than that, those who want to deform the society and desire to kink the straight path may do it in the safety of their own homes but not publicly

We celebrate love with our spouses all throughout the year, why just pick one day to "celebrate love"??
What do Pakistanis do to "celebrate love" that Ugandans or Australians don't? Everyone lives with their spouses pretty much the same way, some days "celebrating love". Other days "listening to the nagging" . Pakistanis are not unique - some marriages are successful and some probably are not.

I don't much care for Valentines day, but if someone wants to celebrate it, why ban it? There are worse things that people can do to their spouses than send some Roses or chocolates. To each his own - the state needs to butt out.

Why can't we ban it? What's wrong with banning a ridiculous celebration? Why should we adopt a foreign mainstream trash celebration that's nothing but a marketing gimmick. Pakistan was doing fine before and won't be bothered without it.
