Pakistan baits Russia as no big ideas drive Delhi-Moscow ties

This shows India is stronger than Russia, India can do whatever it wants, but Russia must obey India...

We all know the might of Russian forces, why is it that they have been bullied by India in recent times?

wtf we have never bullied russia. but the problem is that russia is always looking for countries to sell weapons and it knows that india now is strongly going for indegeneous programs and russian sales will decrease. china is now also almost indegeneous. american space program is also now catching up stopping funds from them. pakistan is the place to sell weapons in future. but i dont think right now or in nxt 10 yrs russia will even offer a single bullet directly to pakistan. i dont think it will dare to go against india.

Business deals are not driven by might of the armed forces.. India's annual defence business with Russia is more than the complete defence budget of Pakistan.. Does not take a genius to figure out the ramifications of that...

I'm not one who has bought into the idea that India and Russia are lifelong pals. Since the fall of the USSR the relationship has been purely a business one. There are very few cultural or people-people ties and in this regard the Israel-India relationship is far stronger. However it seems absurd the Russians would be willing to put Billions of USD at risk from the plethora of Indian deals pendin and in the future for a few Million that Pakistan could offer. It seems to make little business sense.

India can only count on India.

we all agree our relation with russia is pure business.... but this business is worth billions so we can play politics on that

Not yet. That is why I said 'shifting into'. Slowly but surely, India is moving towards that role.

The relationship has deteriorated into one of customer-supplier, downgraded from the strategic alliance of the Cold War era.

Here's one counter example: US/NATO presence in Afghanistan.

On international terrorism as well as peace in the middle east India and Russia have similar stands .But you are right , the relationship is not as close as it was during the cold war ,but it is close enough to keep the countries together .
