What he did and why he did we really do not know, but he has got a very good head and very practical. I think he was just so bold and different that people did not liked him. I think he was a good person to have on your side.

No doubt he is intelligent and educated and has a sense of humor, but then he's also slippery, duplicitous and remember, he's been a Jammati, a journalist and partner to every political force in Pakistan, that includes the Army, Jamaat, PPP and PML-N - he is a man of principles and if you don't like the ones he stands on, well, he has others.

Perhaps but it's difficult for me to digest any PPP as something other than a fancy crook

Depends on your fancy. You either take the PPP as whole or PPP as a political party with differing views as well.
But then again, it depends whether you are are of the parha likha jahil variety or not. Reactionary, Insecure.. and so on.
In essence, it depends on a lot.


With regards to Haqqani.. he makes good points.. but dithers now and again for his own personal experiences with the military.
MC Chrystal is possibly being more balanced but its difficult to say whether he is or wants to.

I like McCrystal. Dunno know about PPP, but as long as we have Zaradri and son, they are best forgotten.
