Pakistan Assembly condemns publication of Prophet`s caricature in Hindustan Times

Do you know the difference between asking for Pakistani Punjab to be divided into say north Punjab and south punjab, and when Balochistan liberation army (or whatever it is called) asks for independent Balochistan?

well, among the things you mentioned, the red highlighted ones fall into the first category.

Thank you for that useful information. But does that means that all of them are not fredom or separatist movements?

Next in the others, you have stated that you have not written from states of northeast (the underlined statement), well the north east states include mizoram, sikkim, assam, nagaland, manipur, meghalaya, arunachal pradesh (called seven sisters) and some parts of west bengal which borders them basically the chicken neck,They have been highlighted in pink.

What i meant was that i have not gone into details of those states.

So where exactly did Vish go wrong, when he said yes, there are problems in north east, rest is good??

It's not a slideshow. These are facts you are reluctant to admit by calling them slideshows.

How many times have you been to disneyland? I visited it, it is a fun place :)

I have been there. I agree

Oh yes still the poor 90 years old MF Hussain was forced out of India and he has to save his life by staying in Dubai.
The old man ultimatly said he would not return to India as he was too old to face the wrath of Hindu fanatics.

He wasn't forced, he himself decided to live abroad. Now there's little we can do about that.

A couple of his art shows were vandalized, and that's about it. If you consider that the "wrath" of Hindu fanatics then you need to either go live in a first world country or need a reality check.

Images of Hindu gods and godesses are published daily, i understand that but you should understand that your temples are also having pictures of your gods & godesses. Also you have stones carved in the shape of your god & godesses, so its preety much ok for you people. In the case of Muslims, there is no photography or stone carving is allowed to get the visual of ALLAH (one god) or the Prophet Muhammad PBUH, so it's definately hurting to the Muslims. These may be minor things for you, but from a devoted or non-devoted muslim,it is definately hurting.

Not Images: Caricatures, Parodies.

India stands as a potential failed union of states with separatist movements emerging from nearly every corner of country. If your media does not tell you about that, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. In order to gain control the troubled situation, India need to take care of all issues minor or major specially where sentiments of people are concerned, whether Muslims or hindu. Otherwise, keep on doing what you are doing now & may be you or definitely next generation of your country will rip the fruit of hatred.

Keep dreaming of the day.

Thank you for that useful information. But does that means that all of them are not fredom or separatist movements?

Out of the six, I know to some detail atleast four(telangana and andhra - basically one saying we want two and other saying no dont, vidharba and tulu) of the red highlighted movements history. They are simply political movements, i.e. movements through parties and votes. Sometimes, you know those big big rallies occur and some looting, violence and arson occur during that time. Apart from that their value is zilch. If any of those parties even start talking of succession or seperatist, those leaders would be nangaod and beaten up by their followers themselves :toast_sign:

It's not a slideshow. These are facts you are reluctant to admit by calling them slideshows.

The red ones are not even slideshows. They do not deserve the status of footnotes.

Fars News Agency :: Iran Unveils Prophet Mohammad Painting

Iran Unveils Prophet Mohammad Painting

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian city of Zanjan has unveiled the largest miniature painting, which portrays the Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) ascent to heaven.

According to a press tv report, it took two years for the artist, Reza Najafi-Asl, to create the painting in the style of Iran's master miniaturist Mahmoud Farshchian.

The 32-year-old artist has used 70 acrylic colors to depict Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) sitting on a horse and three angels whirling around him.

Masoumeh Heidari has adorned the margin of the painting with illuminations, inspired by the work of the late illuminist, Haj Mirza Emami.

Dude. Following movements are not the SLIDE SHOWS. Let me refresh your memory by posting a list of "some" of the movements that have effected a peaceful union of states called India.

Yeah yeah; dude, all these movements are names... but then as I said: You need your Disneyland for your wet dreams.

Andhra Pradesh
Political party: Jai Andhra

An anti-Telengana state political party and not a secessionist organization...

Arunachal Pradesh
Rebel organization: Arunachal Dragon Force
Proposed autonomous region: Teola country

The group never numbered more than a hundred. Most of its "units" (which were actually local thugs) have been disbanded.

Assam
Rebel organization: United Liberation Front of Assam, Muslim United Liberation Tigers of Assam

Both are now talking turkey.

Bodoland
Political parties: National Democratic Front of Bodoland

They are talking peace too.

Dimasaland
Political party: Dima Halim Daogah

Their last activity was in 2006; they haven't been heard since then.

Garo
Rebel organizations: People's Liberation Front of Meghalaya/Achik National Volunteer Council
Proposed autonomous region: Achikland

Now defunct/almost redundant.

Gondwana
Political party: Gondwana Ganatantra Party, seeking to create a Gondi state from parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra

A state political party and not a secessionist organization...

Kamtapur
Political party: Kamtapur Peoples Party (political wing of KLO)
Rebel organizations: Kamtapur Liberation Organisation, Koch-Rajbongshi Liberation Organisation

The Hindu : National : Kamtapur Liberation Organisation nearly decimated: police

The above link should answer your query.

Karbi
Rebel organization: Karbi National Volunteers, United People’s Democratic Solidarity
Proposed autonomous region: Karbi-Anglong

Again, a group of dacoits numbering less than 50.

Karnataka
Proposed State:Tulu Nad,seeking to create a Tulu state from parts of Karnataka

A state political party and not a secessionist organization...

Kashmir
Rebel organizations:Lashkar-e-Toiba, Harkat-ul-mujahideen
Proposed state: Unification with Pakistan
Political organizations:All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front
Proposed state: Independent State of Kashmir

Gee... your stooges.

Nagaland
Rebel organization: National Socialist Council of Nagaland
Government-in-exile: Government of the People’s Republic of Nagaland
Proposed state: Nagalim, or Peoples Republic of Nagaland

Divided into two factions; both are at each other's throat.

Manipur
Rebel organizations: Hmar People's Convention–Democrat, Manipur People’s Liberation Front, United National Liberation Front, Revolutionary People's Front of Manipur, People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak

1st: talking peace. 2nd: an umbrella organization, largely in name. 3rd: has been struggling for four decades and has constantly failed. 4th: almost defunct. 5th: heavily weekend.

Mizoram
Rebel organizations: Zomi Revolutionary Organization

Currently "maintaining a low profile."

Mizoram Farmers Liberation Force
Proposed state: Zozam

Again, a bunch of extortionists.

Punjab
Proposed state: Khalistan
Rebel organizations: Khalistan Commando Force, Babbar Khalsa International, Khalistan Zindabad Force, International Sikh Youth Federation, Khalistan Liberation Force

Khalistan: A suburb of Vancouver, right?

Tamil Nadu
Rebel organizations: Tamil National Retrieval Troops, Tamil Nadu Liberation Army

Both fringe groups with links to local goons and nothing much.

Telangana
Political parties: Telangana Rashtra Samithi, seeking to separate Telangana from Andhra Pradesh state. Various other minor groups such as Jai Telangana Party, Telangana Communist Party, Telangana Janata Party, Telangana Praja Samithi, Telangana Rashtra Party, Telangana Rashtra Sadhana Front, Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Telangana Sadhana Samithi.

All of these call for a separate Telangana state within the Union of India.

Tripura
Rebel organizations: National Liberation Front of Tripura (two factions operating), All Tripura Tiger Force

1st: currently experiencing internal fighting. The group has no more than 400 cadres in all. 2nd: really at its lowest point currently.

Vidarbha
Political parties: Vidarbha Rajya Party, Vidarbha Vikas Party, seeking to separate Vidarbha from Maharashtra.

Again, dude read this line “seeking to separate Vidarbha from Maharashtra”…

Zomi
Political parties: Zomi National Congress

A Myanmarese political party under the Myanmar Junta.

Please note: I have not added the movements from Northeast India.

Dude, which part of North-East India did you leave behind?

Now wonder who lives in imaginary Disneyland, and also, do some research next time you comment. :coffee:

You copied your entire post from one website… my my… wet-dreaming in Disneyland, are we?

Read more on how these guys work and the entire Maoist insurgency before shooting your mouth… these are a threat to our writ, but largely because we were busy with your stooges in Kashmir and overlooked elsewhere. Now of course, the heat is on the Maoists. Wait and watch… half a decade and these will be forming political parties.

In all fairness, I'm pretty neutral.

It's pretty clear the Indian newspaper only did this to provoke a reaction (which the Mullahs fell for again). However, the difference between the Danish cartoons and this, is that the Danish ones were actually insulting .. do clarify whether the Indian cartoons were insulting.. such as portrayals with terrorist bombs in turbans..If the Indian paper simply made a picture that was not insulting, strictly speaking, where's the problem? Though i do still believe their motives aren't pure, one can call on hundreds of Turkish and even Arabic examples of paintings that simply depict the Prophet, depiction is alright it seems, but of course insulting is not. So it's the content rather than the act of creating an image that is an insult.

Having said that, it is a caricature, and they're usually not pretty..So i reserve judgement till seeing the photo.
