Pakistan asks US for small arms to achieve ‘Istehkam’​

WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s envoy to the US, Masood Khan, has urged Washington to provide small arms and modern equipment to the country to ensure the success of Operation Azm-i-Istehkam, a newly approved counter-terrorism initiative.

The federal government recently greenlit the reinvigorated national counter-terrorism drive, however, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif clarified that this initiative would not be a large-scale military operation and would not displace local populations.

“Pakistan has launched Azm-i-Istehkam […] to oppose and dismantle terrorist networks. For that, we need sophisticated small arms and communication equipment,” said Ambassador Khan while addressing US policymakers, scholars, intelligentsia, and corporate leaders at a Washington think tank, the Wilson Centre, earlier this week.

Beggars gonna beg for anything. Now begging to the uncle Sam aka daddy US for some attention. Hey we wanna fight your ex-enemy plz give us some rifles, some cash and plz look at us we are here to serve you plz don't ignore us. That's what he actually meant.

But the Michael kugelman, the director of south Asian institute of the same Wilson center said Pakistan isn't and perhaps wouldn't even be in the top 15-20 priority for the US administration. US is busy in Ukraine, Gaza, middle east, China issues etc. Their internal issues need even more attention. So the Pentagon can mostly give Pakistan's current eager to get recognition and attention setup some verbal support or regular training courses.

I don't know why our ambassador didn't ask Wilson center that why they are harboring proclaimed absconder terrorists wanted by Pakistan like Wajahat Saeed Khan etc. He is allegedly one of the masterminds behind the 9th May incident. And why the Wilson center's director repeatedly gives him interviews. The ambassador should have condemned the US for harboring anti Pakistan terrorists in the US and should have demanded their immediate repatriation. Our free and fair courts have issued verdict against them after prolonged transparent and fair trials.

Our ambassador should have confronted the director there who is constantly in touch with that Pakistani declared terrorist.

Our ambassador failed to perform his duties to project the interest of the Pakistani state abroad. Pakistani state seemed to be weak and incapable by his actions. He should have made sure to uphold the dignity of the state and judicial system of Pakistan.

The most Honorable, CJSC Mr. Qazi Faiz Esa should take notice of it, and write the letter to the US Supreme Court and state department, reminding them to keep up with their international obligations, international laws and Geneva convention. Teach them with the exemplary, world renowned track record of the Pakistani judiciary under his command. He should also write to the FATF to take notice of the US harboring and financing of the global terrorist networks.

We are a strong sovereign nuclear power. Our down to earth ambassador couldn't get his message through, loud and clear.

Istehkam will come by accepting the will of the people, by accepting the mandate of the Awam and removing the fake non mandated government at the center and in Punjab, other areas. Only in KPK it's a Awami Mandated government.

Didn't know they are that much thick headed and unintelligent, the so called Idara.

Which awam are you talking about? Those nobodies strolling around the streets with empty stomachs. The people at the helm of affairs doesn't understand that how are those people even still alive and surviving till now. The Desi east India company don't care what happens within the borders as long as their foreign overlords and financiers aren't disturbed. How many other countries have lost that many people to the useless endless wars at the behest of the foreign powers while still claiming to be a strong, the number 1 and a sovereign Democratic state?? None other than Pakistan. Who sells their nationals to the foreign powers??

And you are expecting some sane decisions from the same people! If anyone thinks like that, he should immediately consult some psychiatrist. The mandate of less than the top 1% really matters and they are all united as they can be. Other 99%+ are all expendable and their sole purpose on this planet is to serve those in the top till their last breath without even asking a question. Who asks the question surely would apply his own mind and the people like them are the number 1 threat to the national security and democracy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

By simply silencing everyone else and suppressing/crushing their ability to think, to comprehend, to question and to dream would achieve the ultimate Istehkaam for those sitting at the top.

As according to Kim jong UN there could be no better place on the planet than the North Korea, to him and his F&F that's the ultimate paradise with ultimate prosperity and Istehkaam.
