Hafiz Saeed supports an armed insurgency against Indian occupation forces in IAK. This is something many would support against an armed oppressor. He does not support mass casualty suicide bombings or the targeting of innocent civilians. He even speaks about the rights of Hindus and is on record saying that forced conversions, etc., are not allowed in Islam --- and nor is takfeer, the idea that one Muslim can declare another a heretic.

I'm going to say that when your country elected the Butcher of Gujrat as your PM (previously blacklisted by the same US who calls Masood Azhar a terrorist), we entered all sorts of moral grey areas. Not to mention support of Baloch terrorists who butcher labourers.

I'm going to say that the US, who has supported Al Qaeda allies (Al Nusra and other so-called "moderates" in Syria), indulged in various false flags or blatant lies to justify invasions (Gulf of Tonkin, Iraq), has a global network of secret prisons / blacksites for enforced disappearances and mass surveils its own citizens --- yes, certainly there is no moral high ground left to point fingers at Pakistan.

Either we all take these bad men to task --- or we stop pointing fingers.

Why hasn't India made the "proof" of Hafiz Saeed's involvement in the Mumbai tragedy (it was a massive tragedy and a very unfortunate event given the number of innocents who lost their lives) public?

It wastes no opportunity to publicly shame Pakistan --- why stop now?

Let's get back on topic. Any kind of invasion or annexation of Afghanistan would be silly and counter-productive. We should have had the intel to know exactly where these bastards are hiding in Afghanistan and should have hit them with our own resources (SSG, ISI external div, drones, helos, jets, cruise missiles --- whatever).

Relying on the Afghan govt, whose intel agency we accuse of harboring the TTP, to take action against the same TTP is bordering on the insane. Each nation must take care of its enemies itself regardless of where they are hiding. It is the ISI's job to have the capability to do so (Mossad style), with the necessary help from the SSG and other tools at the disposal of the State.

Afghanistan is a land locked country Iran is not giving them any port service because south Afghanistan is controlled by Taliban. They have to hand over or all business will be gone from the country. They will have to give or suffer they cannot carry on even for a week it will hurt India and Indian business in the country.

Ignoring all the rats trying to derail this discussion with their sh1t, my two cents are:

This escalation gives the current COAS the perfect opening to initiate the next phase of Zarb-e-Azb which had gone into a lull due to the handing-over / taking-over phase. Now, with all key officers well settled in their respective places and having taken stock of things, each of them will be launching and executing the next phase targeting all three targets vis-a-vis, foreign enemies, their local proxies and economic terrorists, at the same time.

The calling of Afghan diplomat to GHQ is a bold and loud message to everyone, who understands. The closing of Afghan border without ANY consultation with civilian leadership, is another loud message.
