In 2004 he was a director of Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited.I encourage the young leaders to uphold the values of the school and the nation while discharging their duties honestly and impartially. Leaders are not born but they are made and for that, every child’s talent needs to be explored and chiseled.
Major General Julian Peter

PAKISTAN’S CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY
Major General Julian Peter: Christian Community needs to be acknowledged. When do we honor our state emblem or our national flag? It happens when we praised the struggles of our other communities. The ones who placed a quarter on our flag. The question arises that why we skipped mentioning their names who played a major role in the development of the post-independence Pakistani armed forces whether they’re an army, navy, or in the air force. We must have to bring our rich army names in the mainstream so our gen Z gets to know them.
Over the last years, Pakistan Army has remained the most well-managed, disciplined, and responsive institution of Pakistan, which besides the defense of the country, also carries a rich history of making sacrifices and contributions towards nation-building by assisting the government in various fields.
Let’s dive into the life of Pakistani-Christian Major general Julian Peter.
MAJOR GENERAL JULIAN PETER
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
He is the first Christian Major General in the Pakistan Army. He was born in Gawalmandi, Rawalpindi. He got his early education from St Mary’s Cambridge School, Murree Road, Rawalpindi. After, completing his matriculation, he received his military training at the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul.
HIS STRUGGLES
He was in the 4 Frontier Force Regiment unit which means the Second hill regiment of infantry. He played a key role in the 1971 war and fought fiercely. In 1971 Major Peter Julian was injured while leading a rifle company but he snubbed evacuation and sustained fighting until surrender. He also commands 31 FF and 41 FF in Lahore and Havelian respectively.
HIS RANKS
He was promoted to a Brigadier rank in April 1989 in the army where he commanded 124 Brigade in Sialkot Cantonment. Then in April 1993 he, as a first Christian, rose to the rank of Major General. There he commanded the 40th Strike Division in Okara Cantonment.
DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS
In 1999 Major General Julian Peter was Director-General Logistics based in Rawalpindi. Julian Peter served as the General Officer Commanding of a Division and as a general staff officer at Army Headquarters until his retirement in 2004.
He once said as a chief guest in St Mary’s Cambridge School that:
In 2004 he was a director of Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited.

He is commanding an SS Brigade at the moment. I had the opportunity to be one of his students about 16 years back.....I was reading the Christmas wishes on ISPR's Twitter handle and read comments by some people who had an issue with ISPR wishing all of Pakistani Christians on behalf of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. This picture should be an apt response to such people. Here is a Christian Brigadier serving in the elitist arm of the Pakistan Army (I am not exactly sure what Brig Julian is commanding but in all likelihood either serving in a staff appointment in Headquarters SSG or in command of one of the SSG brigades) and more importantly with a "yellow" stripe (awarded for suffering a major injury in the conduct of military operations). That in itself is worthy of massive respect towards this community in Pakistan.
Yes. I could not find his picture. The picture is of Gen Akhtar Malik, not General Julian Peter.
His daughter Kiran peter is a doctor in Army.MAJOR GENERAL JULIAN PETER:
