Pakistan Army to contribute to the construction of the DAM from their Pay

Not there military/ judiciary job to build dams...or this show off..When there is already approved government fund of 23 billion which next government will continue to build on..They better control ludhaynvi and other type extremist ...
For judiciary instead of this gimmick better resolve thousand of pending cases and made system so that common people can get justice in his lifetime...No body is interested in correcting himself

On looking at the fund raising page and daily updates...at this pace would take more then 5 to 7 years...if 12 to 14 billion dollars is the cost.in these 5 to 7 years there will be pricr escalation n again target will be more..

instead of getting the looted money back from all the corrupt politicians they are asking the poor pakistanis to pay for the dams. many in the armed forces wont like to donate anything to the govt of pak which is known all over the world for its corruption. where is the qarz utaro mulk sanwaro money?? such steps only show the weakness of LEAs and judiciary. after failing to bring back the money they request and forcibly take donation from the already suffering pak public. as per yesterday's remarks by the judge who is looking after the case of increment of oil prices the poor pakistanis are paying 40 rs of tax per litre of petrol. till few weeks backs every pakistani was paying 25 % in tax at every mobile calling card. shame on govts of pak (both civil and military), judiciary, LEAs for bringing pak at this level today.

This project is hardly few billion dollars, if you subtract almost 75 percent wastage of resources , kick backs and corruption.

The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor has said officers of the Pakistan armed forces will contribute to the fund announced for the construction of the Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dam.

"Pakistan Armed Forces contributing to Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dam Fund. Officers of Pak Army, Navy and Air Force will contribute their two days’ pay while soldiers one day’s pay to the announced fund for this national cause," tweeted Major General Asif Ghafoor
The fund was announced by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar recently. He has vowed to not let anyone misappropriate the funds being collected for construction of dams to resolve the country’s water crisis.

Reiterating the need for building dams to overcome Pakistan’s acute water shortage, the CJP in his remarks during a case hearing observed that the Supreme Court has appealed [to the public] to gather funds for immediate construction of Bhasha and Mohmand dams.

The top judge himself has himself donated Rs1 million to the account created solely for the purpose of raising money for the construction of the dams. His donation is the first contribution to the said account, according to a press release on the Supreme Court’s website dated July 5, 2018.

The account, titled “DIAMER BASHA AND MOHMAND DAM FUND–2018”, has been opened by the Finance Division of the Government of Pakistan under the Supreme Court’s order. It bears account No. 03-593-299999-001-4 and IBN No. PK06SBPP0035932999990014.
