It reminds me of that story where a dog dies in a well in some village. People gathered and asked for opinion from a wise man who said they should take out 7 bowls of water from the well to make it clean. They did but the well remained dirty and full of foul smell. Then someone told those stupid people to actually remove that dog from the well to make it actually clean.
So if army wants to clean their image, they know exactly what to do.

Thanks for the explanation. I share your sentiments. It is just that in the longer run better results will be achieved by a measured and nuanced criticism and backchannel communication with key stakeholders in the Fauj than by an outright assault, which may result in escalations.

You cannot reason with an entity that has unaccountable power over you in a deep state-esque sense. That is not a fair negotiation, given the power asymmetry. However, if IK can galvanize public outrage in a constructive way, then the negotiation is worth it, as not even the deep state can do much at that stage.
