. . . .
Opportunities were missed - both to learn turbines and also on design. Commission and plain traitorous self-serving corruption.
nations were building helicopter since the 40s era and we can't make it in 21 century. I think we are not interested in making things. the nation as a whole including our armed forces has the psyche of a consumer instead of producers thanks to Bhutto nationalism, it changed our course forever.

.
I understand some initial order Alouette III purchased by were assembled in Pakistan but sadly nothing followed up after that....now the same is being done with Agusta Westland AW 139

A mix of both - the local response to Pakistani assembled cars is an example. Even the top hotels hire foreigners as GM’s and leads because they want the white face. Essentially, Pakistanis are still slaves while pretending a facade of superiority.

You do realize it requires multiple industries to build a complex machine like a helicopter. There are only very few manufacturers that can make a reliable machine. Technically any country with a decent industrial base can design and build one, but to build one that is COST EFFECTIVE, RELIABLE, AND EFFICIENT, is completely another story.

So Pakistan has no problems purchasing military equipment from France? @Bilal Khan (Quwa)

so India’s iron sister France wants Pakistan to take care of their India problem?

The Eurocopter AS350 Écureuil, now Airbus Helicopters H125, is a single-engine light utility helicopter originally designed and manufactured in France by Aérospatiale and Eurocopter.

basically paa replacing older types with a type already in service just a new name.

its Time to replace older types like paf almost did

The assembly is not manufacturing just delivered in kits due to transportation and put together at delivery point, same was the case for f-7pg does not means it was built locally

But why should Pakistan give money to them and not go somewhere else? Especially given how disrespectful France has been?

Yeah, thats what I thought too, why pay France, but if we already have quite a few of these in service and France willing to sell, then it makes sense, no need to cut off our nose to spite our face.

\why can't we make a light utility helicopter at home? It is not a difficult task unless someone's commission will be slashed if made at home.
We could've gotten away with it if it weren't for horny kids in universities :D.
