Just talked to my bro who lives there..He says that the shock wave from the blast was powerful enough to vibrate windows in his house which is 3 miles away.

According to ARY the heli crashed between two houses near supply bazaar ...Sikandarabad to be exact..luckily the occupants of both houses were out.

As far as cannon fires are concerned,its normal for residents of abbottabad,.Too many army training centers and firing ranges in the area,and they regularly practice artillery fire...For PMA cadets at night cannon fire is that luminescent phosphorous rounds to light up the area.Extremely unlikely that the canon fire was from helicopters as there is no helicopter firing range in the area.
