ISLAMABAD (AP) — Pakistan’s military test-fired a home-grown Babur cruise missile on Tuesday that has a range of more than 900 kilometers (560 miles), twice the distance of an earlier missile of the same model, a statement said.
The missile's extended range further enhances nuclear-armed Pakistan’s military capability.

Pakistan and neighbor India, which also has a nuclear arsenal, have a volatile relationship, having fought three wars against each other. The military buildup of both countries is closely watched by a nervous international community as India and Pakistan have come dangerously close to a fourth war at least twice over the last two decades.
The missile, dubbed the Babur Cruise Missile 1B, is domestically developed, said the military statement. An earlier version had the limited capacity to travel just 450 kilometers (280 miles).

more than 900 so probably closer to 1000km....... atleast some progress. I am just happy its not another ghauri or ghaznavi :sarcastic:

. .
I thought Babur had a range of 700KMS and it was RA'AD with 450KMs of range. What are they smoking?

. . . .
Can we stop wasting threads with endless pointless conversations

900km is a decent range for us, and I agree with others it can probably hit further

Our next aim should be 1500km

Are you mentally retarded or something.. In every generation meaning decade the missiles have to be renewed. meaning modernized to a better versions hence it has to be re-tested again.. it is technically like a new one because it is 2020s version not it is older version decades back.. They could have even called it this versions new names if they wanted but it didn't interest them just a newer modern day versions this is a continous process for every decade and never will stop Constant modernization

One can argue with others without showing their class. Your comment would have garnered appreciation if you hadn't resorted to personal attacks. All you need is to get rid of that obnoxious first line in your comment.

did we conducted '1B' test before ? ISPR clearly saying 'enhanced range version'
yes
Looking forward to hearing more about this. I wonder what the extended range is. They specifically mentioned it, so i assume it's significant.
previously in 2018 it was tested for 700 KM range
same old BS ok
bhai jaan kya ho gaya hai .... base line Babur Missile 500 KM se enhanced ho ker in 1B version have +1000 KM range keep in mind 1B version is capable to hit naval target at sea [click here]

Its Babur 1B and we have Babur 2/3 :), they could be enhanced with the carryover updates too. And we also have Project-282 hypersonic missile in pipeline as well. Pak military always has surprises.

Mashallah, This test comes just on the heels of India deploying its S-400 system in Punjab. While India was enjoying the S-400 deployments but now Pakistan surprises india with this test. We don't sleep on our defence and keep an eye on every move our arch rival makes.
As Pakistan had accurate information when and where India would deploy, we prepared accordingly. This is again a big slap at India similar to August 15, when we also knew India's intentions towards us. Big security breach in India.
Pakistan Zindabad Pak army zindabad
