Pakistan army chief’s Beijing visit heightens US, India jitters

Plus what does military chief has to do with CPEC, after all it is an economic corridor. If there are security concerns, they should discuss with local establishment or the government instead of issuing statement in China and specially arranging meetings, this visits are actually a wastage of public money and it definitely raises question regarding involvement of Army chief in government matters.
How naive......a local security issue....what was the indian monkey - Kulbhashan Yadev doing in Balochistan?

No such thing as friends in international relations, only interests. Pakistan made the mistake of relying on 'friends' in the past, only to be disappointed.

But this friendship dates back to 1947 and almost 69 years are more than enough to test level of friendship. Isnt it?

.
You misread dear.....possibly J-10 as an alternative to the F-16.

That's what I was expecting...how certain are you sir that PAF is going to induct these beasts in our future modernization plan....can you give your opinion??

HQ-9 , J-10's , Modified F-22P's and Subs ... I hope these are under consideration

.
Plus I still can't figure out how is interceptor tested by India is an issue for Pakistani army, interceptor are supposed to defend airspace, it is not about attacking enemy territory. No doubt this journos are dumb..
Buddy that basically means undermining Pakistan's nuclear deterrence though I know it is far from maturity and even more from perfection but of course it has the potential of adversely affecting it and Pakistan needs to rectify it before it gets operational.

Ok, so one single RAW agent forces your Army chief to visit China on a specially arranged visit to discuss the security arrangement in CPEC corridor. I think more than the investments from Chinese side, Pakistan is spending more to convince China to continue with it's investments.

Dont disagree with what you are saying. My argument is more over definition. China and Pakistan have a close working relationship based on mutual interests. Friendship is something between people, not between countries.

My professor in international relations told us this on the very first day of class.

Who told you he is the only RAW agent....Many have been apprehended before and especially after he divulged the info. But he is the highest ranking serving officer caught anywhere in the world.

Some years earlier there was an outside chance of inducting the J-10, under present scenario not too sure if it offers any major advantages over the Block-52.....but you never know, we declined the MiG-21s in 1969 but inducted the F-7 twenty years later as it in it's shape suited PAF's need....similarly the J-10C may prove the winning number.

Where was your so called friend during 71 war ? Just asking.
I guess policies change with passage of time.
You decided to kill your Bangla Bandu but have accepted to be ruled by his daughter. !!!! just wondering why.

How can i dare disagree with the Professor as the rule he told is IR-101 :)

71 was more or less our own made fiasco and when India declared a formal war, we had virtually already lost East Pakistan by then. There was no chance intervention of China cud matter anything. Same was case in Kargil as we never took China in confidence over what we were doing so why ask them to intervene then? Moresoever @Windjammer Sir has quite nailed it though :)

The jitters have already hit Pakistan and hence this visit. The F-16 uncertainty and Modi's visit to Iran has made Pakistan very nervous. With no other strategic alliance in sight, time to embrace the Chinese even more.

.
You should have the answer because after Bhutto, his daughter and son in law has ruled Pakistan as well. How is this related to thread ? The poster mentioned Pak China friendship started from 1947 and I simply asked where was higher than mountain and deeper than ocean friend at that time ? Even United States of America was supporting you at that time and China was no where near.
Wrong example, Bhutto was tried and hanged for some political murders not assassinated.
As for your rant, in 1971, China may have been a nuclear power but wasn't considered a superpower, it was still in the cold behind the iron curtain. Today it's a major player on the world stage....however a friendly country would only go as far as supporting you military and diplomatically ratherb than jumping into the battlefield.

Nonsense, we all know the butt hurt the Pak China economic corridor is causing in the neighbour hood, hell even the 8 F-16 are proving a major headache for the micro power.

To take revenge for "a thousand years of Muslim rule", so that BD can never be out of "Indian radar" and making a way for Mr. Modi to be the principal stake holder in his dream for the "undivided India"..
