Pakistan Army’s Major General Babar Iftikhar has been appointed as the new Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), replacing Major General Asif Ghafoor, sources have claimed.

Asif Ghafoor was appointed DG ISPR back in 2016 and upon finishing his tenure as head of the military’s information wing, he has now been posted as GOC 40th Infantry Division in Okara.


No official confirmation about the change at the highest level has come yet, however, ISPR is expected to make the announcement in the evening.

Reports are claiming that Major General Asif Ghafoor is due to be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and has finished his term as the Director-General of the media wing of Pakistan Army.

Note: This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.

To your satisfaction, you had to believe what a singer alleged on Twitter but totally forget to add counter tweet by DG ISPR himself back in days. That pretty much explains your knowledge that you even went to call her stripper. My advise would be that if you aren't updated and doesn't know much about; stay away from topics as such and so also workout with your attitude/choice of words on the Forum. What happens in US or India; isn't related to Pakistan at all.

The post of DG ISPR is there and only change of command is taking place. For the libido brigade & our enemies; there is no concession at all ... not even a bit... in-fact the bar will raise above and trend will be maintaining current impact while delivering more to hurt them all. What these trolls are doing on social media or even few of Indian Media houses are trying to do so; is nothing but to avail opportunity and bag some brownie points to please their few followers being deluded and lives in lala land. Bollywood script writers do have a job to please everyone that believes in fairy tales. Can you imagine to put some sense into them at all even if an SOP is being implemented.
