Pakistan and France sign MoU on technical collaboration for JF-17 Thunder

can we get their assistance on delivery systems and engines manufacturing
I'm not sure if the snecma m-88 can be configured to a single engine role, maybe the experts are more aware. It worked for the RD-33 and F-404.

It could be worth exploring as the French allowed for an MRO facility for the Mirage engines at PAC.

Pakistan should try and licence build the turbofan jet engine for the JF-17, sort of what Sweden does.

Really awesome news! Surely the JF-17 is bound to benefit from French avionics and electronics. This will upgrade the JF-17 to a different level. It would be a nightmare for the enemy to face an aircraft in various configurations.

If France has orders from India, we could order them from Italy, though I heard China is developing a missile similar to the meteor for the J-20 that could be implemented on the JF-17.

No news about JF-17 is clear crystal ...now we are stuck in the linguistic issue of electrification or electronic system...

Engine Harnessing (in general) took bits and pieces from a company website who are experts in this .

1. Tools and gauges are maintained and calibrated in accordance with ISO100012-1 (superseded MIL-STD-45662A) requirements and provide traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
2. Repairing, rather than replacing, an electrical engine harness, such as the CF34 harness, can provide large savings over the purchase of a new OEM harness .
3. a repaid turnaround time on repairs, returning your engine harness to “like new” condition with a warranty on all repairs.


Repair is generally offered on the following types of electrical engine harnesses:
  • Engine gas temperature (EGT) thermocouple systems
  • Igniter systems
  • Full authority digital engine control systems
  • Power management control systems
  • Vibration monitoring systems
  • Engine speed monitoring systems
  • Fire detection and extinguishing systems
Electrical engine harness repair services:
  • Diagnostic testing
  • Complete strip down and rebuild
  • Partial strip down and rebuild
  • Wire replacement
  • Partial or full re-braid (stainless steel, nickel-plated copper ([EMI], Nomex, PEEK™, or other materials as required)
  • Terminal end replacement
  • Terminal box overhaul and harness re-assembly
  • Connector and back-shell replacement
  • Continuity and hi-pot testing
  • Release to service with 8130-3 and C of C
  • Standard turnaround time of two to three weeks after receipt
