i think we have just entered the race . sat based radars IMO r a bit far fetched for PAK now

I am not sure but I think IL-78 can refill PAF Vipers, see the below source

Mate, but no one has modified the jumbo as a tanker. Not even the US; at least to my knowledge the USAF continues using Stratotankers and their later variants as refuelers. Guess 747 as a tanker is not viable enough in terms of cost of operations involved.

Thats not Il-78.

Both the planes belong to US Air Force.

Il-78 can't refuel F-16's of PAF.

Ever since the name FC-20 existed, Pakistan had put in a good sized order with a likely option for many more.

and unlike procurement of IAF where orders are stated long before arrival, PAF tend to be quiet about their purchases.

Quick question sir.. If i remember right, PAF has about 35-40 JFTs at this time that have been put together over last 2 years. And you are expecting to add another 110 in next 4 years or so.. At an average of 25+ an year?
