Over the period of time, many among these have been replaced with indigenous components to cater for material and software obsolesce such as MFDs & WMMC...

AZB PGM SERIES​

AZB series of precision guided munition (PGM) kits are indigenously developed Range extension kits for use with general purpose Mk series bombs. The weapon is primarily all weather fire and forget system with GNSS guidance as primary source of navigation. LGK-50​

LGK converts general purpose MK-80 bomb into a precision guided munition by introducing laser guidance. The kit consists of:

• Computer Control Group (CCG) for guidance and control (option is available for a tail-end computer control group).
• Wing assembly attached to the aft end to provide lift and stability.

SALIENT FEATURES​

• Uses semi-active laser guidance to strike a designated target with greater accuracy than an unguided bomb
• All weather weapon
• It has an internal semi active guidance system that detects laser energy and guides the weapon to a target illuminated by an external laser source. (Designator can be located in the delivery aircraft, another aircarft or a ground source).

AH-1F Cobra Attack Helicopters in Pakistan Aeronautical Complex undergoing Elect Systems Overhaul.
It is worth noting that these helis had obsolete electronics with maintenance support closed by OEM.
PAC undertook the task & completely replaced all wiring & systems indigenously..

I am not sure this is a "success story" for PAF - a personal achievement for the engineer in question - but it would have been better if PAF invested in a private company to help train and mentor engineers of this calibre so that they could undertake this type of project. This knowledge he gained - will be LOST .. had he been at a private company - he could have trained the next set of engineers, who could then have participated in even more complex projects. etc..

First Batch of JF-17C Block-III will be handed over to PAF shortly. As per sources, aircrew training is already in progress at PAC so that operationalization takes place in minimum time.
Note that JF-17C is a totally different experience due to advanced avionics & full FBW.

Pakistan Aeronautical Complex contracted the deal for 12 Super Mushshak Aircraft for 33 million USD in Feb, 21 during the visit of Iraqi Minister of Defence. The first batch of these trainer aircraft was delivered today. Shown below is the official livery of IQAF SMK.
