Pakistan agrees to send ships to block arms shipments to Yemen rebels

And who is that?

Btwdo we ppl remember that even in 2013 saudia had asked our army to fight bashar, to remove his gov.
I find both iran and saudia very evil

But idnt get why single iran, a single shiite state with an equally twisted ideology is strong enouhh to face all arab nations and turn them jittery.
I mean like ....its just one country that has all arabs running on toes.

I meant Iran.

I don't care who is evil Arabs or Iran, but our relationship with Arabs are fair and We helped them atleast atleast 15 times on different occasions. So making mess out of whole 65 years relationship will be a stupidity. I believe the first stand that we will help KSA in protecting boarders was the best one.

why Arab can't handle Iran is for a reason, Arab countries are not military powerful . Only Iraq had some power but them they are also gone now. on the top, Arab are use of having luxuries life didn't face hardshiips. While on the other hand, Iran kept fighting in the history, they are still sanctioned by the world so know how to face tough times. On the top, they have nothing to loss as compare to Arabs. They are united as hell, and a close community, all this makes them unknown, and powerful.

Boots on ground can change many things and PA will not do this. Iranians know Pakistan does not want to involve itself in middle east power struggle.

Try understand this picture, Saudi Arabia's ISIS and Iran's Houthis in power games.

Ya and moreso lets see who is gonna win. Atleast i dont wish for iran.
These iran ppl have very very sick extreme ideologies.
Trust me. And also that many ppl dont know cuz western media never purposefully covered that and kept focus hovering on wahabism.
and i am more interested to see whether these houthis have similar twisted views as irani mullahs or are moderate.

I ask too many questions , i hope pdf doesnt ban me for this lolz. I love this place.

Pakistani media reports have claimed Saudi Arabia’s request for Pakistani forces in support of the campaign in Yemen was nuanced by a demand that any Shiite Muslim soldiers be excluded.

“The reported Saudi request for sectarian screening of the troops would be upsetting to the armed forces, which have prided themselves on preserving themselves from this divide,” said Mohammed Afzal Niazi, executive editor of The Nation, an English-language daily newspaper politically aligned with the prime minister’s Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz party.

Saudi Arabia’s suspicions toward Shiite Pakistani soldiers have strained relations in the past.

In 1982, Pakistan deployed 12,000 soldiers in the kingdom, which feared Iranian military reprisals for the Arab Persian Gulf monarchies’ support for Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war. They were withdrawn in 1987 after Islamabad refused to comply with Riyadh’s demand for a list of Shiite Pakistani army officers.

What next? Send only the soldiers who believe in Deoband or Ahal-e-Hadith fiqah :enjoy:.....:enjoy:.....:enjoy:

But remember Saudi Arabia and UAE Minister recently insulted Pakistan were not very nice and deeply bad languages. I think, Pakistan should better stay in neutrality policy and focus our home only.

Now that's an interesting fact not many people are aware of. Does anyone know more about this demand on the part of Saudis do screen Pakistani troops of Shiite officers and the request of lists of Shiite officer's names??

@Horus @Irfan Baloch @Daneshmand
This is true my bro in law he's in the airforce he told me the same thing about Shiite officers and soldiers a week ago. They want only Sunni troops. If PAF is going to be deployed as well then my bro in law will be taking his part too.

Pakistan should avoid any of such differentiation, otherwise it can come hard Pakistani Community. In-factwhi, they should have avoided even disclosing such news. But give big no for such differentiation, Pakistan is Muslim country, and they will help in protecting Saudi Boarders. Which is country's stand not some community.

ISLAMABAD — Yielding to pressure from staunch ally Saudi Arabia, Pakistan has agreed to help an Arab military coalition enforce an arms embargo against Houthi rebels in Yemen and is expected to announce the deployment of navy warships to the busy commercial shipping lanes off Yemen’s coast.

You read these journalists and you just wonder, do they actually are journalists or is it just a fat pay check from some lobby they are after???

This is misrepresentation again. If anyone was giving in due to "pressure", you'd see Army deployment in the news to KSA. Not Navy to provide legal cover from Arms shipping to Yemen. This is a happy medium. You help them out without putting your soldiers on the battle ground. That was the goal and this entire situation is due to an active democratic system. There hasn't been any negative remarks from Arabs or others since the couple of those made by the UAE minister.
His government gave him a shut up call as none of the Arabs want to strain relationships with Pakistan. At the end, the Parliament rules, representing the People of Pakistan. The entire globe has to agree with the democratic decision (some in need might hate it at times, like Arabs / KSA right now). But they've started to get it that no one person runs the country and that Parliament is the ONLY supreme institute that would decide all key decisions in the benefit of the country. Good work Pakistan!!

Height of stupidity, once KSA was asking for help we were sitting on eggs in our ignorance. And couldn't improve our long term relationship, but when UN pitch in then we are now just ready for the help, whatever they are asking. So for argument sack, when KSA ask us to help them beat Al Houthis militants, it was wrong to kill muslim, but when UN (lead by non muslims) ask then it become legal to kill Muslims.

Pakistani Government and Establishment has shittest attitude when it comes to improve our relationship with our brotherly nations.

Now we will help them, and also become wrong on both Al Houthis as well Arabs point of view.
Wo,wo,woo...take a break man..that was smart card that Pakistani government played at the right time..It may won't bring that sectarian war inside our borders... You've got to understand that part of the war and Pakistan's deployment method..

the reason of this is because Iranian Government is made of randomly elected members and most of the member grow in streets and Arabs chose their Family member which never see anything beyond the wall of the palace..

Can you plaster your signature all over the faces of foul mouthed indians who post in this forum.

I think this is the best option at this current point in time.
We can't demand mediation in this conflict while the Houthis are armed and running about. Every single ceasefire and agreement signed between the Houthis and the Yemeni government had been broken by the Houthis who continued to attack military installations and expand their territory. The Houthis will obviously not be willing to come to the negotiation table in light of such victories, so we must first weaken then. This is the only way.

Two warships already in the area in part of task force more then good enough to show our flag and help block arms from reaching the rebels more then good enough no more needed or can be offered not our war to fight we have our hands full .
