Maj.Gen Asif ghafoor ....not brigadierSaw a statement from the ISPR spokesman Brig. Ghafoor yesterday in a press conference that rest assure "India will NEVER be able to surprise us" by attacking. What a statement! I mean it's not like Pakistan and India are thousands of miles apart. So India has multiple options for at least launching surprise strikes along anywhere Pak-India border. Mr. Ghafoor must have utmost confidence in Pakistan's border security and monitoring of Pakistani airspace.
PS. The 1971 war thingy is for another topic. I'd just say 'Thank you' to Indian Army for liberating us W. Pakistanis from the E. Pakistanis and, admittedly, humane treatment of the Pakistanis POWs. Pakistanis--soldiers or civilians--falling into the hands of Mukti Bahini would be far worse. Also, armies do occasionally lose wars. Look at how many times Gen. McArthur retreated in the Korean War--leading the US Army at the height of US power. Give 1971 a rest please!
