The thing is Afghanistan desperately needs an enemy to blame all their ills, hide their incompetence and unite a country driven in ethnic and sectarian warfare.

The put a blindfold and blame pakistan while each year they lose inch by inch to the Taliban and more men. Afghanistan will one day have to face these problems without blaming third parties

It would bring clarity to both Afghanistan and Pakistan -- it would be like waving a red rag to the GHQ -- it would end any dithering on the Part of the GHQ on what needs to be done.

Kinda like Saddam and his rhetoric against the West -- it's Saddam's tongue that did him in -- not the imaginary WMDs he supposedly had.
