Pakistan: A Hard Country | Faisal Warraich

.

There is a concept in Counter-Terrorism studies which is being looked at in quite detail by experts in recent years. Its called "Resilience".

The idea is simple. While terrorist attacks are desgined to break the will of the people, in many cases they achieve the opposite effect. Instead of bowing down to terrorism, people start to identify more closely with state policy and call for decisive action against terrorists.

The "Resilience" framework doesnt work in all countries but it is certainly one of the reasons why we in Pakistan have recovered so well. Our state apparatus is far more developed than Afghanistan and Libya, so that helped too. Plus, we have strong institutions which stayed intact despite setbacks. The fact that there is more community bonding here has also helped.

We are indeed a resilient nation Alhamdulillah.

I think we are very dheet people and for the most part never learn from our mistakes and keep on repeating them. As for Pakistan being A Hard Country, it would be better to read the actual book and see what the author have to say.

we have no choice but to be hard and resilient .. If we'd have shown weakness our neighbors would have overcome us .

Reminds me a lot of this Golda Meir quote : 'The Egyptians could run to Egypt, the Syrians into Syria. The only place we could run was into the sea, and before we did that, we might as well fight.'

And your'e right, had we shown a hint of weakness, our neighbors would have divided the country between them.

Pakistan and Pakistanis are resilient people, have the capacity to take punches as much as the 220 million always ready to die to protect Islam, Islamic Fort and Pakistan from internal and external threats to its existence. Keep on facing and fighting as witnessed in last 20 years of WoT.

Pakistanis around the world, no matter how many damages, bomb attacks, and problems happen, Pakistanis being very resilient and strong will "comeback". Thata how the nation has been developed aince 1947 when 1 million killed, and 0 economy and financial and governance structure.

A Pakistani is the known to be Revengeful, Resilient and make a Comeback attitude again and again.

Hi,

Pakistanis are resilient after the loss---.

See---the west has already overcome that issue---.

When the US or UK INDIA or France declare someone as an enemy---no one dares to challenge that in the country---they all stand behind that decision---.

There is no CHRISTIAN brotherhood or that these are our christian brothers---and they cannot do anything against us---or there is Pashtun Wali---.

The west has become a true nation state---nation first---nation second and nation third---.

The west does not understand why pakistanis do not have this mindset---. Why are they not loyal to the Star and crescent first and then to their benefactor nations---.

And why do pakistanis keep on supporting the pariah nation and homeless anti state actors---.

But basically it comes down to is why does it take Pakistan 13 years to find out who the real enemy is.

We need to somehow get retarded Pakistanis to start believing in Pakistan and not in nations who don't give a damn about us. Other Muslims don't care about the Ummah. Only Pakistani retards do.
