Believe me you are a true patwaree.You even cannot differentiate between pathan and pakhtoon.A pathan can be a pakhtoon if he can speaks pashto.But not necessarily every pashto speaking person would be pathan too.He could be from any cast,race or religion.There is a Sikh community living in KPK.They claim they are pakhtoons but they never claim that they are pathans.
IK,s paternal side is saraiki speaking and maternal side is pure Punjabi speaking.His maternal cousins have agri land in our area and we have very good relation with them.They are pure Lahorees. They donot know any pashto.They call themselves pathans not pakhtoons.IK,s maternal family settled in Jalandher 600 years ago and after partition migrated to Lahore.Cities of Punjab like Hushyarpur and Lodhi-ana were established by pathans.One of the oldest community of old city of Lahore is kakke zai pathans.

-Umer Ayyub Khan is pathan but Hindco speaking
-Amir Khan and Babar Ghori of MQM are Pathans but Urdu speaking
