Pakistan 2012 GDP growth rate revised to 4.2% from 3.6%:World Bank

World Bank's GDP growth is calculated without adding inflation, official GDP figures are Nominal GDP figures accounting inflation and Pakistan GDP growth was 3.6%. I have replaced Bangladesh with China, see the difference.

May be the relative inflation.

What was the official GDP Growth of Pakistan.

If he had given official GDP growth rate you would asked for IMF WB report.

Lets learn admit facts are they are, we should not always be guided by our prejudices.

GDP growth (annual %) | Data | Graph

well still the above link stats 4.2% for Pakistan
3.2% for india while 7.8% for china

beside this even IMF estimates are similar to the WB.

If pakistan witness more than 4% growth rate in the first quarter which is schedule to be published by either nov end or early dec than Pakistan does has chances of more than 4.5% growth rate this year since the last quarters usually witness more growth rate

World Bank data isn't the nominal GDP growth, it doesn't include inflation.

Real GDP offers a better perspective than nominal GDP when tracking economic output over a period of time. When people use GDP numbers, they are often talking about nominal GDP, which can be defined as the total economic output of a country. This output is measured at current price levels and currency values, without factoring in inflation.

well ofcourse in 2010 Indian Growth rate was alot higher than Pakistan and comparable to china

but we are talking about the latest 2012 growth rate and the possible future.

Since i am not good at economics.i wont disagree with you but offer you to read the inflation of both pakistan and india in 2012 and do the maths as if Pak GDP growth rate is 3.6% than how much would be the indian

Inflation, consumer prices (annual %) | Data | Graph

Inflation in 2012

Pakistan 9.7%
India 9.3%

very small difference.if i go by your way than India growth rate for 2012 must be around 2.6% or 2.7% from 3.2% with 9.3% inflation

While pak to 3.6% from 4.2% with 9.7% of inflation

But What i think is that inflation is already considered within it.since even the IMF show 3.2% growth rate for india in 2012.

what you say?

Pakistan was ALWAYS superior to india when it came to infrastructure, high-way road construction etc...

Take last 10 years of civil war out, and we shall see...Anyways, good for you if you're going ahead in infrastructure..

Let this civil war be over....let Pakistan stabilize..and we'll play 'infrastructure-infrastructure' all you want....

May be because Pakistan unlike india had never God Gifted(british) railway like india

Railway in Pakistan from start was very limited while india always had a better railway network throughout the country
