Pakhtoon March: A movement that was hijacked

What is interesting is not a single word being uttered about the atrocities of Taliban. Slowly a narrative is being built up that the institutions of the Pakistani state are sworn enemies of the Pushtun people. In the later stage the narrative will shift towards the Pakistani state itself.

Building resentment and mistrust within Pushtun youth particularly in the tribal areas with a hope that eventually enough "young men" can be misguided to throw Pakistan into another civil war.

It's been hijacked because it was allowed to be hijacked. This protest has been going on for nearly a month now and there's been close to zero attention from the media on this matter (I can make a guess or two as to who is responsible for the blackout). Like most matters in our country there is no action or implementation until there's a huge media and public outcry on the matter. What started off as drive to get justice for the extra judicial killing of Naqeebullah has now transformed into an open protest against the state.

And as expected the morons who were trying to shut this down by not letting any media in have now allowed it to reach international media and as anticipated neighboring countries are taking full advantage of this.

You do realise that the ultimate dream of many of these ethno-fascist Afghan nationalists is to loot and burn your city.

although there's definitely something fishy in the matter because as big as the incident was there hasn't even been any official judicial inquiry).

I'm not fan of Zia support for Afghan jihad in 80's but one have to be delusional to think army was carrying suicide attacks and APS. You need to clear your head from ridiculous conspiracy theories of afghan/indian backed agents.

Terrorists are literally defeated. Forgot about 2013-14 but even compared to 2017 there is drastic reduction in terrorist related deaths of civilians.

2017 first 3 months 178 deaths, this year till march 24 deaths. If this continues then by end of year there may be around 150 killed which will be lower then when WOT started after 9/11. In peak around 3000 civilians used to die in suicide bombs and other terrorist attacks.

As soon as terrorism is defeated frustrated afghani/indian activate their dormant proxy cells aka afghani refugees.

They are frustrated, terrorists are defeated in Pakistan while they prosper in Afghanistan. Zarb-e-azb made sure Pakistan will not turn in to another Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria etc

this movement was hijacked by afghan officials and afghan students living in Pakistan and guess what the movement failed because Pashtoons of Pakistan knows that they have achieved a better living standards in Pakistan than Pashtoons living in afghanistan. Moreover Pashtoons in Pakistan are highly integrated in every province, society and cities of Pakistan.

Sir i have been following it from start, It was on day 2 when anit-state voice started coming out. That was the time when majority of Pakistani Pashtoon started to distance themselves and the numbers of Afghans increased!

. .
Actually it was Mahsud Tahafuz movement, and it was all about rights of Mahsuds. It was active since 2015 but was largely limited to some posts on facebook and small unnoticeable protests. They were making such demands (cleaning of mines , stoppage of curfews, extrajudicial killings and humiliation at check posts etc) before the death of Naqibullah Mahsud. The latter's death brought them to limelight, on social media. The movement was protesting against the army from the get go.

Not saying that this movement doesn't have any foreign influence in it but people claiming that the narrative hasn't been put up by our own pashtoon brothers are complete idiot's.
There are about 2 million Afghans in Pakistan with most having no other concern but getting 2 meals a day. You think they had the power to "hijack" a movement that have nothing to do with them and that too with 0 influence ?

Not supporting this anti state narrative but theres no surprise here either. At this point there are only 3 things that come to mind as to why Rao Anwar hasn't been caught.

1. Agencies have no interest in finding him.
2. Agencies are not capable enough of finding him.
3. Agencies are possibly sheltering him or have given him the clean chit.

All three thoughts raise serious questions.
