Pak violated Indian airspace thrice: IAF

NEW DELHI: A TV report says that the Indian Air Force has confirmed that the Pakistani Air Force warplanes had violated Indian airspace on at least three occasions in May and June. The Indian Air Force has now got itself into operational readiness after a pattern of air space violation was seen. ( Watch )

According to Times Now , three intrusions were reported in Pathankot sector. After these intrusions, the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of the Indian Army - General Sekhon - spoke with his Pakistan counterpart - Major General Ahmed Pasha.

However, the warplanes did not penetrated deep into the Indian airspace. The Air force is ensuring operational readiness in four key places in the Western Air Command.

Fali Major, Air Chief, confirming to the reports of airspace violation said, "As usual our operational readiness is in place. They man three or four places in western air command which stretches from Kashmir to Rajasthan. This has been the norm throughout. But, we have not taken extra precautions because we know how these intrusions took place, and why they happened.”

the continious news of voilation on both sides i think is simply a propoganda.....IAF is not a child, that they ignore PAF movements in their area. If PAF violated the indian Air, then why Indians didn't take any action. This may be simply the propoganda by those who want a war not a peace..

No SU-30 are not based in Pathankot, Pathankot has 2 sqd there NO 3 SQD AND NO 26 SQD both have MIG-21 BIS.
The SU-30 are based in Ambala.

As per International airspace rules ( except few variations), no aircraft should get closer than 30 Nautical Miles ( around 55 KMs) from the Intl border (IB) unless the destination lies with that distance or prior permission is granted...If due to operational demands , flying is required to fly close to IB by IAF or PAF, their respective authorities are informed and they keep a close eye on the situation....BUT sometimes, missions are planned near IB without informing the other , and in any case , the punishment for incursion is a missile hit on your rear side....

Neo I agree with you completely , Its strange that why would IAF not intercept the intruders and take them out of sky if they know that there are incursions going on by PAF? There is no role-playing as Mr Nice guy or courtesies extended in such situations ...unless they don’t know that what’s going on!! Announcing this in media is just like accepting your own failure to get them….. Or its quite possible that there are incursions by both sides and neither can provide a 100% coverage against these intrusions. It goes on all the time. They know it and we know it.
